I’m not sure I’ve had a week filled with so many different emotions in awhile now. Wednesday my sister and I went to go visit a friend in the country, and Olivia (who is 7 now) was on a rope swing and slipped off and broke her wrist. :/ We ended up in two different hospitals with an ambulance ride to transport us to the second hospital. She did amazingly well, but it was a scary night!

The rest of our week has had ups and downs, we did an adoption fundraiser for my sister and brother in law and that ended up being such a blessing! But that same day some friends of ours had their baby but the baby has some serious health issues and so I was crying over that right before going to do the fundraiser for my sister. Saturday evening we ran over a bolt and our tire instantly started losing air, fast. So Sean had to find a tire store and work on getting that fixed, it seemed like the appropriate way to end our week.

I feel like it should be the Fourth of July in this outfit and not officially fall, but we have experienced a burst of heat here in Missouri and there was no way I was putting on any sort of fall outfit! Thankfully it’s supposed to cool back down this week.

I have been trying a BB Foundation from 100% Pure company. I wanted to fall in love with it and sing it’s praises all over the blog, but if you have any sort of blemishes at all it just won’t cover. :/ It’s a very mild foundation, and I think a lot of people wear an actual foundation to cover up blemishes.

  1. It does sound like “one of those week-ends”! It’s so important at those times to know we serve a faithful God who sees us through them, but they’re not always fun! Hope you have a blessed week (& week-end). Thanks for hosting.

  2. If you foster to adopt it’s A LOT cheaper. No fundraising needed. Must be a regional thing, NO ONE does fundraiser for adopting a child. Either you have the money or you adopt through the foster system. I certainly wouldn’t give money to people who haven 1. ADOPTED kids already and 2. Can adopt another way.

    • Seriously? It really must be a regional thing because I see a lot of adoption fundraisers around here! My sister already adopted through the foster system once, and it’s not a good fit for them to do it again. I think it’s such a blessing to help a family out in this way! Most of us don’t spend $25,000-$30,000 to bring a child into this world. Not everyone can have children, but still desires to be parents. Why wouldn’t you want to help a family out in this way, by helping them bring a precious child into their home to love and raise in a Christian home?
