Modest Monday and a Link Up!

Sean surprised me Friday night with a date night, and it was the best thing ever to lift my spirits! The last month of pregnancy is hard, I can’t go anywhere without everyone making comments. The nice comments don’t bother me, but most of them are comments where people look at us like we have lost our minds to be having our 7th baby.

He was incredibly sweet and took me to go see the brand new Christopher Robin movie. We rarely go to the theatre, and I honestly hate them most of the time. But I was so glad we went, I could sit in a comfortable chair, avoid people’s comments (unless I went to the bathroom and then got them there!), and I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed the movie! For once Disney finally got a movie right. It was so sweet and funny (but in a sweet non-sarcastic way). I’ve loved Winnie the Pooh for years now, and even as an adult I have a soft spot for anything Pooh Bear. 🙂

Sean has been so patient with me this pregnancy and taken such good care of me. I’m thankful for his encouragement and support!

15 years later we know what true love is like. It’s surviving the devastatingly difficult times in life and coming out holding hands together, and still staying true to each other. We have learned that there is nobody else you can rely on like each other, and that you have to fight through the bad days.

  1. Yay for date nights! That’s really nice that you were able to get away. As a mom too, it’s hard I know but remember you are doing great and your family is better for it. So any chance my hubby and I can get away, we get away. Happy parents = happy kids!

  2. What a sweet example of what marriage is all about. That kind of mature love is so much better than what we have at the beginning and certainly so superior to anything the world has to offer!

  3. One of our biggest regrets was not having more children, sometimes its good to remember that every child is a gift from God, Himself. May the Lord continue to bless you

    1. That’s what pushes me through the hard days. I’ve heard so many couples say they have regrets and it helps me through the difficult times and the rude comments. <3

  4. Thank you so much for hosting again this week. You always do so much for bloggers! Try to stay cool and enjoy your week ahead.

  5. Thank you for the comments about the new Pooh movie! My son wants to see it, but my first thought was, “What sick things have they figured out to do now with Winnie the Pooh?” I’m so glad to hear it’s good.

    You look lovely!! 🙂
