Pregnancy Update: Week 20
I made it to the halfway point! It feels so good to be at 20 weeks!! There is a part of me that can’t believe I’m only halfway through, but I’m trying to look at my glass half full instead of half empty. 🙂 I know the holidays will speed things along quickly.
The baby is super active, but so far Sean or the children have not been able to feel it. I enjoy all the kicks, and love this time of knowing the baby is growing and feeling lots of movements, yet not having my ribs kicked yet. 🙂 The baby is the size of a banana now. The children were excited when I told them that!
After going back on progesterone pills the results from my test were super good! I was so happy to hear that I won’t be doing shots again. I’m going to be on the progesterone pills until 38 weeks and then stop, but I’m totally ok with that. I just take them at night before bed, and I sleep good (a side effect of taking progesterone).
I have been trying to be more organized and prepared, which will help me not feel as stressed. I did a better job of lesson planning before our school week started, and I made a meal plan for the week. I use some recipes from the weekly meal plan I get through Grocery Shrink Plus. She uses whole food items, and even includes option for mamas on the Trim Healthy Mama meal plan or those with allergies. I think it is a great meal plan, I just don’t use any meal plan 100% as I throw in our basic, easy recipes also.
I’m doing lots of character studies with the children this month, and just overall trying to encourage them to exhibit good attitudes. We took the month of October off our Character Badges charts, but we are back at them this month and the children were happy to see them up again. Â It really does seem to help the attitudes in our children, even in just basic things like them being more diligent to respond with “yes mama” and thanking me for dinner at night. They know those things might get them a positive check on their chart, which they really want!
I’m getting excited about Christmas. I’ll confess I already turned on Christmas music once this month! I’m trying not to rush it, but I do love this time of year. I saw that Dayspring is having a great sale today only, and they have some lovely Christmas items on clearance!

I think this Nativity hurricane candle holder set is so unique and pretty! It is $20.00 off today only.
I did pull out my pilgrim figures Sunday night. We definitely keep Thanksgiving stuff out until it is over and then pull out Christmas items. Every family does differently though and that’s ok! We don’t have a lot of room for decor where we live, but I always get out some things.
I think that is all my chatty news I have for now! I hope you are having a blessed week!

You look fabulous! Getting organized is a big deal. I’m surprised how much the little things I’ve been able to implement have helped.
You look beautiful Caroline! I prayed you wouldn’t require those painful progesterone shots, so glad that your levels are good enough to just take the pills. Don’t feel guilty about listening to Christmas music already… in our house that can begin in August! Glad you and baby are doing well:)
