I apologize that this is later than normal in getting the Modest Monday link up published. We went to a baptism last night, then came home to our last night of my husband being gone to Washington DC for a college trip. I wanted the house picked up a little more than normal for him to come home, and then once he actually walked through the door, blogging was the last thing on my mind. 🙂 I am so thankful that Sean does not travel for business! I didn’t get near enough sleep while he was gone. Raccoons in the trash and my dryer turning on by itself at 11:30 at night were some of the things that kept me awake. 🙂

My oldest son took these pictures for me yesterday. I love that he is willing to help out when Sean is not around, even though the angles might not be quite as I would like. 🙂 He enjoys taking pictures and I want to encourage him in that.

Modest Monday3

You can’t really see it here, but I’m wearing a Lilla Rose headband.

Brown Linen Skirt for Modest Monday

I’m pretty wrinkly after having a 1 and 3 year old sit on my lap during church! Every mother can relate to that I’m sure.

Linen Skirt

My new brown linen skirt from ThredUP is so comfortable! Some linen feels stiff, but this skirt is so soft.

What I Wore

Skirt – Brown Linen Skirt from ThredUP (Christopher Banks Brand)

White Tank – Deborah & Co.

Cardigan – TWICE  (Gently used clothing – Banana Republic Brand)

Brown Mary Jane Shoes – Zulily

Earrings – Hazel Daisy from Mialisia

Headband – Lilla Rose

Makeup – L’BRI Makeup, oil free foundation, powder, blush, eye shadow, mascara, and lipstick. It is amazing how well the foundation from L’BRI covers!

  1. You are such a blessing and inspiration to me! Every week I come here to link up, and I always leave uplifted and encouraged by your faithful, consistent walk with God. Thank you for what you do and for the stand you take on a consistence basis. You are a gift and a blessing! Love, Cheryl

  2. Honestly, your outfit looks fine except for one thing…it looks like you slept in it. There is a lady in the office who sometimes wears nice outfits that are made of cotton or linen material and it always looks like she just got out of bed. Ruins the look. Someone asked her if she owned an iron and I think she took exception to that. Just my opinion. Some of your outfits are super and if you spent just a few minutes to iron and crisp them, up your pics would look awesome.

    • A lot of times I take pictures when we get home from church on Sundays. I always iron everything before we go to church, but after 2 hours of little children sitting on my lap, it doesn’t always look that way. 🙂
