Purple Maxi Dress with Crocheted Maternity Sweater

I think this will be the last Modest Monday post I personally take pictures for this month. You wouldn’t believe how I looked before I got dressed up in this outfit for a date night with my husband.

Let’s just say it was a night and day transformation. πŸ™‚

I told him I don’t know why I’m not getting up in the morning and putting makeup on/fixing hair still. I guess I just feel big, awkward, and like it doesn’t matter right now. But I feel so much better when I look put together!

Purple Headband with Chevron stripes. Love the shabby chic look!

So with that being said…don’t let these 9 month pictures fool you. I don’t always look put together like this! Some days it’s 11 AM and I’m just getting out of my yoga pants and getting dressed for the day. And most days I only wear lip gloss, no other makeup.

Date night with my sweet husband!

But who can resist getting dressed up knowing it is your last date night with your husband before a new baby comes? We had a blast. I went to Panera and had soup and salad as that was all the space my stomach had room for. I’ve been nauseated the past week or so, and the soup was so yummy. Sean doesn’t care for Panera, he wants more filling food. πŸ˜‰ He went to Chipotle which is across the street and brought his food over to Panera. We were both happy that way! πŸ™‚

Of course we spent the rest of the evening shopping for our children. We visited our local Christian bookstore that sells homeschool curriculum (Mardel) and I found some new things to keep our third grader busy for the rest of the school year. Then we went to Target and finished getting the last thing I needed for the changing table area (the new chevron changing table pad) and picked out some birthday items for our daughter’s birthday that is coming up. It was so relaxing to just be out with Sean and spend time talking. I’m thankful my mother in law is always willing to watch the children for us!

I’m wearing one of our new headbands we just got in for spring and summer. This week you can grab one of the new headbands and get free shipping on USA orders! No code is needed, just pick out which headband you want and check out!

  1. You look beautiful, and you are such an adorable couple. Blessings as you prepare for the new baby!

I just joined ipsy because of your post about it; never too old to try something new. πŸ™‚

  2. I was just getting ready to reorder my L’bri facial cleanser from you, and was wondering whether you’ve tried the sunscreen? Is it thick like most sunscreens, or more the consistency of their lotions? Thanks!!!

  3. You look amazing!! I guess baby will be here oh so soon πŸ™‚

We are due very soon as well. But I don’t post any online pics…I’m swollen like someone pumped me full of gallons of water, lol…almost done & then it has always disappeared before. Can’t wait to hold the lil babes, as I’m sure you feel the same way πŸ™‚

    Hope all is well otherwise,

  4. You look so pretty! My father in law (love) would always tell me there was nothing more beautiful than a pregnant woman…such a sweetie. It sounds like a fun date night. We may live in the same area as we have a Mardel too…well, actually in the city closest to us.
