Modest Monday and a Link Up!
I would love to be bringing more fall looking outfits for Modest Monday, but it’s not been true fall weather here lately. Short sleeves worked great for over the weekend.
Saturday we had a birthday party for both of my boys, my twin nephews and my brother in law. I woke up Saturday morning with a fever and a head cold. I didn’t put much thought into this outfit, but I’m hoping it all matched ok.
This chambray skirt from eShakti is really comfortable. I like how many different things it goes with, and I love the pockets. 🙂
Here are my $6.00 Walmart shoes. They probably won’t hold up over a year, but I loved the polka dots and knew they would go with a lot of my outfits.
This is my “I really don’t want to be smiling, but I know I should be” look. My whole face was aching! I crashed in bed Saturday night, and spent all day Sunday in bed resting. I’m hoping today is much better.
These fabric rose headbands are so pretty! We offer several different styles at Deborah & Co. and they make such nice gifts!
I wanted to invite you all to a Facebook party I’m hosting this Thursday night for Paparazzi! If you haven’t heard of them, it’s jewelry and accessories that are all $5.00 each! I especially love the earrings! You can RSVP here. It should be a lot of fun. The pictures below are just a sample of things you might find at the party!
What I Wore
Skirt – eShakti
Top – Gap brand from ThredUP
Headband – Deborah & Co.
Shoes – Walmart special 🙂
Makeup – L’BRI Pure and Natural foundation (I started using the new full coverage makeup that is new, and love it!)
Link Up Time!

Thanks for hosting, Caroline! I wish the weather were warm enough for short sleeves by me. 🙂
Caroline, the outfit is lovely. We’re still having short sleeve weather here in West Texas, too. I pray you’re on the mend and start feeling better soon. Thanks for hosting in spite of being under the weather.
I want to eat more strictly THM, I’ve been so tired lately and I had a fever last weekend. Need to be eating healthier and lay of the sugar. The good thing about THM is that there are so many delicious recipes available and Aldi is beginning to carry a lot of the groceries I need.
I feel the same, the weather is so fickle here in So. Va!!
Thanks for hosting:)
Is it a sinus infection? 🙁 I hope not, as I know personally they are awful to deal with! Try hot steam, soup and breathing in peppermint or eucalyptus oil if you have it. Sleeping upright as well. I’ve tried the saline nasal sinus rinses but still haven’t mastered them, although many people find great relief doing those. But you look great (I love the polka dot shoes!!) and I’m glad the weather is mild where you are (the temps here have been in the 30s when we wake up!). Feel better soon!!
The green and white striped shirt is so cute!
