We have a yearly tradition at our church to have a Father’s Day picnic. We rent a shelter at a park, grill yummy hot dogs and hamburgers, everyone brings food to share, and we always have cold watermelon. The men play capture the flag against the children while the ladies sit back and visit. It is so much fun!

This outfit is what I wore to the park. Nothing fancy, just a jean skirt and a shirt that my husband likes to see on me. I almost wore tennis shoes with this outfit so I could play capture the flag but I reminded myself I had a nursing baby so I’d better not plan to be away from her for long!

My hair is a mess at the end of a long day, but it was so nice to have it up all day!

What I Wore:

White Birkenstock sandals (Similar to this pair here, they are so comfortable!)

Rainbow Denim Skirt-found at The Modest Mom here or here  for maternity version

Blue and White Knit Top- I think I bought it at Kohls a few years ago

Cropped layering shell-a new style I hope to carry soon but similar to the ones here

Princess Tiara Flexi Clip-purchased from Lilla Rose

Necklace-The Vintage Pearl

Link Up Time!

Please feel free to share posts about anything concerning being a godly feminine woman. Topics include:  modesty, being a wife, mother, homeschooler, homemaker, cooking, sewing, etc.

Please note: My blog is a bit different as I represent a business and a blog. While I love to have you all link up your modest clothing outfits, ect. please be considerate of the fact that I own a modest clothing company, and I would ask that you refrain from linking up posts that are in conflict with that-i.e reviewing other companies clothes, ect. That being said, if you forget please do not be offended if I take down your post. Thank you!

Please grab the button below and share on your blog post so others can come and join in the link up as well! You can grab the code to this button on the right hand side of the blog.

  1. I love your outfit and this link-up! I am disappointed that you’ll be taking down posts that review other modest clothing stores than your own though. It is SO difficult to find affordable modest clothing. The clothing you sale is very cute but sometimes more pricey than I can afford. I enjoy reading from other like minded readers what does & doesn’t work for them.

    • I’m sorry to disappoint you. 🙁 I’m still hoping that ladies link up modest outfits, I’m only asking that bloggers not link up to blog posts with reviews of companies in direct competition with my own. I hope you understand. There should still be plenty of modest link ups. Thanks!

  2. I have a couple of your layering shells (and LOVE them!). The one you’re wearing in the photo looks like it is still very modest but a little lower … I would love to have some like that. I’m expecting baby #5, and thanks to the cropped layering shells, I’ve been able to modestly wear tops that I would never have been able to wear before. Thanks so much for carrying them!

Oh, and after the baby’s born, I hope to purchase some of your skirts. I love the one you’re wearing in the picture!

  3. It seems like every time I see a picture of a top that I adore, it’s from Kohl’s. LOVE Kohl’s!
Is that skirt a lightweight version of denim? I’m kind of assuming it is, since you’re wearing in it June, but I wanted to ask.

    • It is a medium weight denim. It’s not heavy and hot, but not lightweight enough where I have trouble with it blowing in the wind. It’s my favorite denim skirt!

  4. Ok, in case anybody else was thinking the same thing, but not wanting to comment….I will on behalf of all of us lol

    Your looking thin Caroline!!

      • I’m so sorry ladies, I was gone all day at a homeschool conference so I just saw this. I deleted three of the link ups, including 59 and 81. I’m SOO sorry! I’ve been trying to watch it closely because I’ve been hearing of nasty things getting linked up but I just couldn’t today since I was gone.

        • No biggie, I wasn’t offended or picking. I just thought it probably did not mesh with the spirit of your blog and I didn’t know if you were able to check out everything or not, I’m sure you’re busy. 😉
