Modest Monday and a Link Up!
Sean and I went on a date Saturday night, and I was able to get a little bit of shopping in. 🙂 I quickly ran into Ross, and found this blue polka dot skirt for $13.00! A huge plus is that it doesn’t wrinkle with little ones on my lap.
I was playing around with different camera settings, and they didn’t turn out quite like I had hoped. I’ll keep working on it. 🙂
I have so much navy in my closet, but I’ve found I like wearing it more than I do black. And it’s really easy to pair bright, cheerful colors with it.
I’ve gotten into a good routine with my new hairstyle. I wash it, blow dry it and use hot rollers and curl it on the first day. The second day it’s still curly, but I pull it back in an x-small or small flexi clip. The 3rd day I pull it back in a ponytail or flexi clip. Then it’s time to wash and start over!
My favorite part of the skirt! I like the details at the waist!
What I Wore

Shirt ~ Cable & Gauge, found at  Marshalls
Cardigan ~ Caslan, found on ThredUP

I L.O.V.E your skirt! I can’t wait until we visit the States next week and I get to go shopping at the like of Ross and TJ Maxx. Oh boy, do I ever love the American shopping scene!
Today I’m sharing two posts – one on why I NEVER want my pre-baby body back, and another on how to go from hating Bible study to loving it.
Thank you so much for hosting, as always! <3
Thanks so much for hosting Caroline! Love to see you new finds. Lovely outfit, as per usual 🙂
Have a great week!!
Yay for date nights that also include a good price on a beautiful skirt!
I love your skirt!!! Polka dots are everywhere this year and I love them. 😀 Like you, I’m preferring navy over black. It’s just got a “less harsh” look to it, unless you’re the type who can wear black successfully. I used to, but as my dark hair has greyed, it’s just too harsh. Navy rocks. 🙂
The skirt is really cute and I’m with you on the detail on the waist. Very pretty!
You really got a good deal on your skirt!
Beautiful! I too really like the detail … And I’m so disappointed to realize this is not something you’re offering on your website! I’ve been looking for a navy skirt for-ever! Polka dots are so classic … And the detail so distinguishing!
So glad for you !
I wish it was something I could offer!
Caroline, this outfit is super super cute! I LOVE navy and pink together!
Thank you!!
What a cute skirt for such a bargain! And, I love your sweater, too. Great outfit!
Navy and pink is one of my favorite combos too! Love the polka dots!
Navy is my go-to. My wardrobe this spring is really needing an overhaul (not quite back to small sizes after baby #7, and so much of what I own is weary & worn) – I neeeeeeeed that skirt!!!
