Sean and I had the weekend to ourselves, as all of our children spent time with their Nana. I had a huge list of things to get done, and the only thing successfully checked off our list was finishing putting up trim in our living room. I can’t wait to get it painted and then share pictures with you all!

Sean and I ran some errands Saturday morning and finished getting things needed for our home birth (like a new water hose to fill the birth tub). In the afternoon I went to a baby shower for a friend (crazy to think how fast time goes, she was a flower girl at our wedding 15 years ago!). I had big plans to come home and get a lot done on my list, but instead I came home and crashed on the couch for a 2 hour nap. Sean told me not to stress, that I spent the weekend growing a baby and everything will get done.

Today I’m going to spend the day in the kitchen with my girls making freezer food. My plan is to make a bunch of chicken burritos, energy balls for right after the baby is born, muffin mixes, and they are hoping we make homemade bread as well. We will see how it goes, but they are very excited to help!

These pictures were taken after a nice long Sunday nap. I didn’t look this rested at church! Naps are so wonderful right now! 🙂

I’ve been playing around with some new hair products this week, I’ll let you all know if I can highly recommend them. As usual though, my favorite hair accessories are the Flexi Clips and I used the XL Tree of Life clip to quickly put up my hair before evening church. The July promotion is almost over at Lilla Rose, any order of $50 or more will get a you free mini Flexi Clip of your choice!

  1. Hi Caroline, you look so pretty.
Funny, you wrote that you were at a baby shower and she was a flower girl at your wedding. Same here, my family was at my cousins wedding recently.
She also was our flower girl 16 years ago.
    Greetings from Germany, Salo
