Modest Monday and a Link Up!
I appreciate maxi skirts the most when I’m postpartum. I used to like skirts with elastic waists as they are forgiving to a changing (hopefully shrinking!) waistline, but I find that maxi skirts are even more comfortable.
Quite a few of my maxi skirts can be folded over at the waist. I’ve found that when you are postpartum and not wanting to draw attention to your stomach area even more, it’s best to keep the material unfolded. It gives a smoother appearance to the waistline.
I curled my hair in my favorite overnight curlers, but we took these pictures in the evening so my hair doesn’t look nearly as curly as it was in the morning. I used the lovely Grace flexi clip that is only available in May to pull some hair back. You can’t see it very well in this picture, but it’s a mother of pearl flexi clip that is beautiful!
I told Sean this weekend that I’m ready to start climbing out of the barely surviving mode. Sophia is now six weeks and just this weekend she has started to sleep better at night! I want to do more than just wake up and throw some clothes on to start my day. Curling my hair Friday night took 10 minutes at the most.
Saturday I put some foundation on from L’BRI and some lip butter from my Ipsy bag. Nothing glamorous, but it’s a start. One small step at a time, and celebrate each little thing!
What I Wore
Skirt – Gap brand maxi from ThredUP
Top – Decree brand from Thrift Store
Sandals – Zulily
Earrings – Mialisia
Flexi Clip – Lilla Rose

Thanks for hosting! You look great! I still have a little baby weight (if it is still called that 3 years later to lose). It might just be to many yummy things weight.
I wore my Grace flexi yesterday and I love it! I love your advice of “One small step at a time, and celebrate each little thing!” I am not a new mother, but am a homeschooling mother with chronic pain, so I can use this advice every day. Thank you!
You look beautiful! I love the top. It is so pretty and feminine.
Thank you for hosting!

You/your hair is gorgeous!!! Can’t believe you had your 6th baby only 6 weeks ago! Just curious if you don’t mind sharing. Do you splint after baby? How do you regain your abdominal strength?
The outfit is so cute and I love the hair clip with it! Thanks for hosting!
This is my first time (i believe) linking up with you and I am excited! I didn’t have much to say but I enjoyed writing my post just the same! You look amazing!! I am so happy to hear your Mother’s Day gift was some extra rest!! You are such an inspiration and I have learned a LOT from you about feeling safe in my own skin and in maintaining the values that God has placed in my heart over the last couple of years. Thank you!!
I’m glad you were able to link up!! And thank you for the encouraging words, I’m so glad the blog has been an encouragement to you! Praise God. 🙂
