Believe it or not, I’ve never worn a pencil skirt like this! Most of the pencil skirts I find in the store are not long enough, so I’ve never gotten a nicer skirt to wear to church. Sean and I went out for a quick date night last week and we ran into Marshalls together. It’s actually a favorite date night spot. Sean loves to look at shoes (he doesn’t have a huge shoe collection but he loves shoes!), and I love to look at just about everything else. 🙂

These pictures don’t show the color very well, but it’s a chocolate brown skirt.

The waistband is stretchy, which is lovely. 🙂

I love that it covers my knees even when I’m sitting down!

What I Wore

Pencil Skirt – Premise Brand (I can’t find it online anywhere)

Shirt – Kohls

Sweater – Used to be sold on Deborah & Co.

Makeup – Younique

(I’ve come back to this makeup, so far it’s the best I’ve found for my skin that covers!)

Flexi Clip – Lilla Rose

  1. Well, you certainly don’t look like Helen Crump in this outfit. 😉 Love this look on you, especially the nude shoes/ dark skirt. Modern, modest. Hope you have a great start to your week.

  2. Hi, Caroline! I LOVE this outfit and the skirt is super cute and flattering! I have been reading your blog for years and you continually make modest dressing and cultivating a gospel centered home very appealing to your readers. You do a great job of not honing the attention to yourself (although you are a beautiful example of a Christian wife and mother), but rather pointing your readers toward the Bible and the Lord. Thank you! Blessings, Sarah
