Feminine Friday (Maxi Skirts for Summer!)
Out For Ice Cream
Skirt – Amazon, Top – Maurices, Cropped Shell – Deborah & Co. Sandals – Kohls, Necklace – Charming Charlie, Wristlet – Macy’s, Flexi Clip – Lilla Rose
Do you ever get out for an ice cream treat, just you and your husband? We have been given several gift cards to ice cream places, and recently went to Coldstone together. It was so much fun, and so yummy! I can’t imagine taking all my children there (we would probably spend $50!), but it’s fun for a date night.
And yes, I realize this has nothing to do with the actual outfit. Except that I would like to wear that outfit to go out for ice cream. Tonight. Alone with Sean. It’s not happening though. We have family night at church, which is fun as well. 🙂
Trendy Summers
Skirt – Maurices, Tank Top – Maurices, Cardigan – Maurices, Cropped Layering Shell – Deborah & Co., Sandals – Kohls, Purse– Charming Charlie, Earrings – Charming Charlie, Flexi Clip – Lilla Rose
My favorite item from this outfit is the lace cardigan. I could see that going with lots of different outfits. It looks light weight for summer.

Though I’m petite, I love maxi dresses. 🙂
These skirts are gorgeous! My favorite is the combo of the striped skirt and lacy shirt/sweater. So pretty and summery!
Okay, so I have a question…how do you make solid color knit maxi skirts modest? Knit skirts seem so comfy, but every time I try on maxi skirts or dresses, I can see my panty lines. And pretty much every one I know who wears them, I see their panty lines. The amazon one you linked to, you can see the model’s thong. : / Do you just buy them big and wear a slip? Or do you do spandex shorts? Sorry for asking too personal a question! If that’s too nosy, you don’t have to answer. I guess I just wish I could find a way to wear them!
That’s a good question! I always wear a slip under mine, and there is underwear out there that does not show lines like other. For example Haines cotton underwear is going to show lines pretty easily. They have some underwear at Target that is slimming (not cheap, I think it’s $5.00 a pair) that will not show lines. Hopefully that helps! And wearing spandex shorts is another great idea. I don’t wear the super thin knit skirts.
And remember, these graphics are just for ideas, we can’t link to perfect items all the time because they can be hard to find! 🙂
Thanks for the reply! I guess I haven’t tried too many types of underwear…mine are mostly the cotton type. I will have to test different types out. : )
And, yes, I totally understand that the graphics are just for ideas, not always items you have or will buy. That one definitely looks thin.
I love your out for ice cream outfit!! 🙂
