Modest Monday and a Link Up!
I hope your week has gone well! I’ve been busy doing lots of behind the scene business work this week while we are on summer break, plus I’m trying to exercise at the track more. I shared on Instagram that I’m trying to start the couch to 5K program. My dream is to run a 5K with my husband, time will tell if I’m able. 🙂 I have to watch how hard I push myself with exercising because I can go into an adrenal slump if I’m not careful.
I had been wanting a striped coral or pink skirt for awhile, when I realized I had this in my Deborah & Co. inventory! I grabbed it, and now there is only one size small left in stock and then I’ll be totally sold out of this skirt! It’s nice having a basement full of inventory. One Sunday morning I really needed a new modest layering cami to match my outfit and I ran downstairs and grabbed one. A little store at home! 🙂
I recently tried a different skincare line that a company sent me in the mail to try. My face broke out and I’ve not recovered. I’m thankful for L’BRI and how gentle yet cleansing it is. It’s frustrating to be in your 30’s and still break out! I need to grab some more cleanser from L’BRI, though today only the deep pore cleanser, shampoo and conditioner is on sale and I’m almost out!
What I Wore
Maxi Skirt – Deborah & Co.
Shirt – Elle (found on ThredUP, I have a search saved there for the Elle brand as I really like their tops)
Cami – Modesty 4 Me
Shoes – ThredUP
Necklace – Origami Owl
Earrings – Mialisa
Scarf – I wore this to my Senior piano recital! I have no clue where I got it now. 🙂
Makeup – Some of L’BRI, some from my Ipsy bag!

You are not alone in your adult acne struggles. I still have to take antibiotics and Retina A. 🙁
Love your outfit! It’s cute, simple and beautiful! Thanks for sharing this and hosting! Blessings

Thanks for hosting, Caroline! Your hair looks gorgeous…how did you do that braid? Is it just a french braid or some sort of twist? I need more pretty pulled back hairstyles like that and am always looking for inspiration! 🙂
Thank you! It is just a twist, it’s like the twisted rope braid you can find in this post: http://www.themodestmomblog.com/2015/03/seven-ways-to-style-your-annoying-bangs/ but I used a lot more hair. I hope that helps!
I did the Couch to 5k program last fall and ran my first 5k on Christmas Eve!! If I can do it, anyone can! I know you’ll succeed Caroline! Have fun!
Thanks for the encouragement! What a great accomplishment!
Thank you for hosting! What a cute shirt! I have a skirt nearly like that, I will have to pair them together.
Love this shirt and skirt combo! So cute! Thanks for hosting 🙂
I LOVE this look. So fresh. I especially love the scarf; I wear head coverings to church so this look is perfect. I am with you on the adult acne, I’m 29 and still struggling. What’s funny is that I think I struggle with it more now than I did as a teenager, what in the world?!
Thank you! And I agree, I think I struggle more now than when I was a teenager! :/ Maybe pregnancy/breastfeeding hormones?
I had bad acne as a teen. In my twenties, after having babies, my skin grew awful. Now at 31, I have serious inflammation. Along with acne, my face is very red and scaly, which I presume is rosacea. Thehumbledhomemaker recently had a post about acne, if you’re interested in reading. I know how frustrating it is. While I don’t have answers yet, I’m going to be doing the Gaps into diet. You may not need that, but I believe diet is a big factor, whether it’s also triggered by hormones or not. I guess I’m not very helpful, since I’m still trying to figure mine out! lol
Thanks for the reminder about Elle tops on thred up! I love them too!
Love that shade of lipstick on you! : )
Thank you!
