Modest Monday and a Link Up!
This might have been the craziest week of the entire year! It took me most of the week to get ready for the Black Friday sale at Deborah & Co. and on the actual Black Friday night I was up until 4 AM working. My sister had wanted me to go out shopping with her on Black Friday, but that didn’t happen! Thankfully my husband was off college on Friday, and I had already declared a school holiday. I served my poor family hot dogs for two dinners in a row, but my husband understood it would be a really busy weekend for me! Today I’m determined to get the house clean and a nice dinner made. 🙂

A few updates on sales before I share Modest Monday pictures. I drew a winner of The Pursuit of Motherhood giveaway and emailed them. Today is the very last day to get this brand new eBook 50% off in price!
It is also the last day of our Deborah & Co. sale! Don’t forget to check the Ready Made skirts section, I’ll be adding more there today. You can see all our Black Friday – Cyber Monday deals here.
We attempted round 2 of getting some family pictures taken yesterday. My brother-in-law took some for us, and most of them turned out pretty comical. I think there is 1 out of 40 we can use! I totally forgot to take some pictures for Modest Monday while we were there, so I’m going to share some pictures taken during the photo shoot.
This is the best picture I have of a full length pose to show what I wore. It was a red skirt I just got from ThredUP and it was nice and warm! My three year old daughter’s dress came from a local consignment sale that I go to every year.
My husband still sweeps me off my feet, literally! I don’t take the blessing of a good husband lightly, I know he is a rare gem!
My mom loved to laugh. When under intense stress you still found laughter in our home. I’m so thankful that my husband and I share many lighthearted moments together. It’s been critical during these past few years of college life!
What I Wore
Skirt – ThredUP (Eddie Bauer Brand)
Jacket – Kohls (gift from my parents actually several years ago)
Shoes – Zulily
Earrings – Capri from Mialisia
Makeup – L’BRI
(if you haven’t tried the skincare line, you order a sample and just pay shipping. The skincare samples last 2-3 weeks and are just amazing!)

We had family photos at a studio a little while back and it involved my little family plus my in laws so it was quite humorous! The photographer was good sport and we have a lot of great memories from that day, plus some good photos! We did manage to take some normal ones too. 🙂
Hi Caroline – thanks so much for your lovely blog. Been following for a while and I’m inspired by your modest clothes ideas. Just started a blog and shared a recipe today. Thanks for hosting!
