I worked all day Saturday on switching out summer clothes with fall/winter clothes. It was fun to pull out all my favorite winter clothes and think up ways to mix and match the outfits. 🙂

The jacket in the picture below is one of my favorite dressy items. My parents gave it to me for Christmas a few years ago. My mom was so sick the last few years of her life that my sister and I would go out Christmas shopping for everyone, and just call her for her approval. We had fun going out on Black Friday one year, and picked out some things we liked, told each other about them, and were “surprised” on Christmas morning. 🙂

I shared here that I was trying to decide if I was going to cut bangs or not. I went and had my hair cut on Friday, and decided to add more layers to my hair to blend in my bangs that are growing out better.

This is a picture I took with my phone to send to my sister. It’s exactly how I had hoped it would turn out once I curled it.

I used my hot roller set and curled it a different way, pinning the rollers vertically on my head.

Of course come Sunday morning I forgot to roll the curlers the new way, so I ended up with a traditional curl, which isn’t what I was going for, but at least I got my hair curled!

This picture was taken Sunday morning before church. I decided not to wear the flower clip.

This was taken Sunday evening after a busy day and a long nap. So my hair isn’t as curly and my skirt is a bit wrinkly!

I get a lot of requests for shoe pictures. So here is an up close picture of my boots. I actually bought these for $1.00 at a garage sale. Not the most comfortable but they go great with a lot of my skirts.

What I Wore:

Skirt – Thrift Store

Black Jacket – Kohls

White Shirt – Garage Sale

Black Boots – Garage Sale

While I love to have you all link up your modest clothing outfits, ect. please be considerate of the fact that I own a modest clothing company, and I would ask that you refrain from linking up posts that are in conflict with that-i.e reviewing other companies clothes, etc. That being said, if you forget please do not be offended if I take down your post. Thank you!

  2. Oooohh! I love that skirt! I’ve been wanting a long plaid one for awhile, but the material is expensive and I haven’t found one at the thrift store. You’ve inspired me to not give up my search!

  3. I love this outfit…probably my favorite that you’ve posted. I was really hoping that this skirt was one that you sold at the Modest Mom, because I love it! Your hair looks lovely curled…but I really like the flower clip in it. 🙂 Thanks for giving me ideas and inspiration to jazz up my wardrobe…now I just need to DO it!

  4. Hi, I love checking out you modest fashion posts. You are beautiful and dress beautifully, it inspires me! If you don’t mind my asking, do you have a ridiculously large wardrobe? I love seeing something new on you every week, but I’m a bit of a minimalist myself 🙂

    • I don’t think I have a huge wardrobe. It’s larger than some, but a lot smaller than others. 🙂 I’ll try to take pictures soon and share in more detail about what I have.

  5. Thank you for hosting, Caroline!

Love your outfit and hair… so pretty and feminine! I switched out our summer wardrobe for cooler weather clothes last weekend, as well. It’s fun to find outfits you forgot you stashed away!
