Today I will be highlighting different events from the past two weeks. I wanted to share pictures of two different events, so I’m combining it all into a Modest Monday Post.

The first event was a sweetheart dinner that was held at our church. It was a time for just the couples to come and enjoy a nice dinner, and share memories from their dating/courtship days. Every couple also had their pictures taken. My sister and brother in law were in charge of the dinner and I thought they did a great job!

I also wanted to share pictures of the birthday dress I sewed for Carrianna. We share a birthday which is very special. 🙂 I always try to sew her one new dress for her birthday. This year I told her that her outfit would be laying on her bed when she woke up, and she came to me all excited after she discovered her new dress. It was so much fun to make her something new.

I curled her hair in hot rollers for her birthday party. She was excited. 🙂

It started snowing during our party, so we ran outside for a picture in the snow!

  1. Your daughter looks so sweet and excited about her new dress! How fun! My daughter is my oldest and she felt so old to me when she turned five. Five and ten both seemed like a really big deal. The years simply fly!

  2. The dress you made for your daughter is precious–very good job! I liked your outfits also–thanks for the inspiration!

  3. Adorable! What a special day—happy birthday! Thanks for the party. I’ve just posted this week’s Homemaking Linkup and would love to have you join, if you’d like.

  5. Two very beautiful ladies! Happy Birthday!!!
Could you share what pattern you used to make Carrianna’s dress? I like the color/pattern combination you chose. The perfect thing for your blonde cutie there.
