Feminine Friday and My Favorite Things!
I’m snuggled in a hotel room, watching Andy Griffith with my boys while Sophia is sound asleep. We went swimming tonight at the hotel, and the boys had a blast. I even felt like I got a workout in while swimming!
We are in Lincoln Nebraska at a homeschool convention with Character Badges. It will be a fun weekend getting to meet new families, and maybe some blog readers!
Wear a Little Yellow
Skirt ~ Top ~ Sandals ~ Purse ~ Jamberry Wraps ~ Flexi Clip
Has anyone here ordered a skirt from Modcloth before? I’ve looked on their website many times, but I’ve still never purchased anything there. I like the gentle yellow color in this outfit, it is very spring like!
Coral Grid
Skirt ~ Shirt ~ Belt ~ Purse ~ Jamberry Wraps ~ Flexi Clip
I never used to wear coral, but it’s becoming a color that I like more and more. I especially like the purse shown above!
Blue Wings
Skirt ~ Top ~ Shoes ~ Earrings ~ Jamberry Wraps ~ Flexi Clip
I like this plus size outfit for church, or any nicer occasion. Navy blue lace blouses are a favorite of mine!
My Favorite Things
Three special sales are going on today!Â
The new Dogwood Lilla Rose Flexi Clip! It’s only available in April, and once again I love it! My personal flexi clip stash is a little out of control. Ok, a lot. I refrained from buying last month’s clip, but I think I’m going to get this one! It’s available in sizes Mini-XX-Large, plus in matching U-Pins!
Lilla Rose is offering a fantastic sale for April! Order over $50, and receive a FREE pair of bobby pins – your choice! This offer is good on the sets of 2, not the sets of 4. I don’t remember them ever offering this before, so it’s a great way to try the bobby pins, or build your collection!
Don’t forget about the Mrs. Meyer’s spring cleaning kit that you can get FREE with any new customer order of $20 at Grove! It ends Sunday, and this offer doesn’t come along very often. I have the scent in lilac and LOVE it! You might think it’s silly, but it makes cleaning house a little more fun when the cleaning products not only smell good, they are natural and look beautiful!
Finally, I had the chance to look at some of the booths when we went to the Teach Them Diligently convention in Nashville. One booth I looked at was the Not Consumed booth, as I have really appreciated her products that I’ve seen online.
Seeing them in person was not a disappointment, they look so awesome! One item that really interested me was the Homeschool Portfolio Pack.
I love teaching my older children to be independent. My oldest son especially thrives on checklists, and even asks me to make him lists. This Portfolio Packet will help teach your child to be independent through the checklist, but you also can keep records easily, create goals for your year, and is fully editable! I love it!
It’s on sale through Monday for $15, normally $21. Since it’s a digital item, you can print off as many pages as you need for each child, plus you get any updates made to it for free!
What’s included in the pack:
Weekly Checklist
Morning Checklist
Progress Reports
Yearly Homeschool Calendar
Attendance Record
Assessment Graph
Educational Snapshot
Reading Record
Field Trip Evaluation Forms
Annual and Quarterly Goal Worksheets
All About Me
You can learn more about it here.Â
And…that’s it for this week! Have a fantastic weekend!

I have that modcloth skirt but in yellow, and I love it. It wrinkles very easily, so it requires a lot of ironing, but it’s not bad. I’ve ordered several other items from them before, but the sizing is all different, so you just need to pay careful attention to the size chart!
That black and white skirt is to die for! 🙂
