Chalk Pastels – An Easy Art Project for Children!
We struggle getting formal art lessons worked into our school days. My children are always drawing and coloring on their own, so I don’t stress about it as much as I probably should.

Hi Caroline, in case you or any other readers are interested, I thought I’d pass along the link to a great blog for art project ideas. It is by an elementary school art teacher and she gives free ideas with step-by-step directions. You can also purchase kits from her that seem reasonably priced, although I never have. I was impressed with the shading your eldest had on his picture of the baseball bat – it was really good use of the medium, especially given his age. I think you might have at least one there who is going to take after his dad!
