Baby Sophia is here!!
We are so thrilled to be able to finally announce that Sophia Diane is here! She was born Friday morning at 5:45 AM.
She was 10 lbs, 1 oz and 22″ long. Born 10 days after her due date, we were more than ready for her to arrive! Her birth was the hardest I have ever experienced, with lots of strange twists and turns to the story. I’m still processing it all, but am so thankful I was still able to have a home birth.
My midwife was amazing and helped me through and knew just what needed to be done to help her arrive.
I have never come close to having a 10 pound baby, so this was an all new experience for me, one I hope to not repeat. 😉
We are snuggling and resting a lot. So thankful for all the prayers from friends and family for her save arrival! She is so precious, and well worth all the nine months of hardship to get her here!

The first one was born in water and was not difficult, the second was not born in water,and took longer than I figured to arrive, and what a painful arrival it was! I’m glad it’s in the past, for you and me both. 🙂

Congratulations! She’s beautiful! My third born son was also 10lb, 1oz but he was 24″ long. All my babies had gone up a pound in size with each one. I was very worried number four would be 11lbs! He was only 8lb 6oz though 🙂

Congratulations! You look great! We live in AL and God has graciously placed us close enough to Ten to drive over the border for midwife births. They are great! Praise God for answered prayers in the arrival of your blessing! My husband always encourages me that I’m being a picture of Christ when I travail and bring forth children, and God is so good in the way He glorifies Himself and sanctifies us in difficult circumstances! Enjoy these precious moments!

Congratulations on your beautiful daughter!! My third child was 6 days late and weighed 10 lbs. 3 ozs. I have 9 children and he was my biggest. Some have been over 9 lbs though. Take care of yourself and your beautiful baby.

Congratulations!!! She is beautiful! And you look radiating too, both beautiful. Did you know you were having a girl? We have 3kids and ive had all 3of them at home too (kind of feel just like you, i just feel more at ease at home). Our last boy was 4kilos (other 2 were 3kilos) and he got stuck with his shoulder coming out and i had to flip over in hands and knees and then he came out. What a birth! I was in shock after but it was just because he was bigger than the first two

Congratulations on your sweet baby girl! I had a baby boy (baby #4) at home an hour and a half before you and mine was a harder labor too for some reason. So we were laboring at the same time. It’s all worth it now!
