Modest Monday and a Link Up!
My husband and I had the chance to attend a local homeschool convention this weekend, and I was really blessed by hearing Eric and Leslie Ludy speak and browsing the vast choices of curriculum that abound. I was particularly encouraged by a message from Leslie called “The Sacred Claim – The Beauty of an Outpoured Life”. Â The heart of the message was that as Christians we are called to reach out to the widows and orphans. My heart was stirred from the message, and I’m thankful for the Lord working in my life if I will open myself up for his promptings.
The outfit below is what I wore to the conference the first day. I ended up wearing a pink sweater over the white blouse most of the day as it was chilly. I love the polkadot skirt and matching polkadot headband!
I wore black sandals with this outfit as they were the most comfortable shoes I have that could go with this skirt without wearing tennis shoes! 🙂 White sandals would have looked better, but I went for comfort being at a homeschool convention for the day.
Gray Polkadot/Rose headband – I love these headbands! I can’t wear regular headbands (I get headaches) but these fabric headbands along with the Lilla Rose headbands do not bother me at all!
What I Wore
Gray Polkadot Skirt – Deborah & Co. Women’s Ruffle Skirt
White Blouse – Kohls
White Full Length Lace Tee – Deborah & Co.
Gray Polkadot Headband – Deborah & Co.
Silver Hoop Earrings – Kohls
Makeup – Cowgirl Dirt
Various items on sale for Spring this week only at Deborah & Co! We just added four new colors to our Halftee selection, plus they are on sale this week so you will want to take a peek at the new colors!

I remember my very first homeschool conference. I was so overwhelmed by all the curriculum choices that I went into the bathroom and cried, lol!
Then I prayed and went out and started looking around and asking questions. The Lord just led me to the right resources for us and gave me such a peace and excitement about them! I’m glad you had a lovely time.
You looked adorable in your outfit and I loved the polka dots. Thanks so much for hosting today!
Nah, the black shoes (or brown) look better. Of course, I don’t wear white shoes, even my sneakers aren’t white lol.
Love the headband. 🙂
Hi Caroline!
I was so happy to hear you were encouraged by a message on taking care of the orphans and widows! My most recent post was about how Christians need to care about the needy. It is linked up above, but I’ll include the link here:
