Sweet Little Blessings Cloth Diaper Giveaway!

I’ve used cloth diapers on and off with most of my children. While there are many different reasons to use cloth diapers, my biggest reason in wanting to cloth diaper my babies is because of the chemicals found in disposable diapers. Plus, cloth diapers can be so adorable!

With our last baby I didn’t even try cloth. With Sean in college it was a stressful, busy time and we survived on paper plates and Costco pizzas more than I care to remember.

I knew I wanted to try cloth diapering our new baby, but I gave myself strict permission to have lots of freedom and no guilt involved in cloth diapering. I’m going into cloth diapering this baby already knowing that I’m not going to do it full time, but I’ll do it at home as often as I can.

One reason I love to have cloth diapers at home are for those moments when you pull the last diaper out of the bag and realize it’s late at night, and there are no disposable diapers for when the baby wakes up in the morning!

I’m surely not the only mom who has had that happen!

When looking at cloth diapers, I really love the support and knowledge that can be found at Sweet Little Blessings. Since I’m a homeschooling work at home mom, I love to support other moms who do the same. Coleen is one of those, and having had 13 children she knows a thing or two about cloth diapering!

I have chosen to use AppleCheeks diapers, prefold diapers with Thirsties covers, and Fuzzibunz diapers. My favorite of those are the AppleCheeks. They are the deluxe version of cloth diapers, and if you have a husband who does not like to change cloth diapers, these are just like using disposables!

AppleCheeks DiapersWhile this is a pocket diaper, you don’t even have to take the insert out when it is soiled. It will come out in the washer machine.

I really like how this fits on the baby. There are size 1 and size 2 diapers available, so it’s not a one size fits all (which I really prefer).

Besides cloth diapers you can also find carriers and wraps, my favorite bibs, training pants and more!

  1. I am using cloth with my second. I had made some wonderful mommy friends that gave me advice and one even lent me her newborn prefolds! I was surprised at just how easy it is! We do use disposables on occasion, but I love knowing that that cloth the healthiest and CHEAPEST way to diaper (so long as you don’t get caught up in the collecting some do 🙂 I prefer name brand disposables and the sales aren’t as good as they used to be, so every time I use one I think… there goes 25 cents! I would use the gift card to purchase some training pants most likely. We’re hitting 18 months and early potty training worked AMAZINGLY last time, so we’re ready to go again!

  2. I cloth diaper but always have disposables available.

Right now I have Imse Vimse for the baby, newborn size. I hate it when their bottom looms so huge because of diapers. These little ones don’t show more then a disposable one.

For the older ones I use kiddybips and popolini. I prefer kiddybips for daytime and popolini for sleeping. They hold more but look bulkier.

My favorite covers are Thirsties, although popolini works fine. The Velcro is just bulkier then Thirsties’ snaps.
I also have Flip covers and those I rarely use. They are too small and don’t cover the entire cloth diaper, most of the time.

  3. I too am doing cloth diapering part-time this time around. I would really like to try a few of the Best Bottom diapers! Thanks for the chance to win the gift card!

  4. We are working on our 3rd adoption, so I have no idea when we will get placement, but I have been looking into cloth diapers this time around. Wish I had looked into it them with our 1st son 10 years ago. Thanks for the giveaway!

  5. We do cloth diaper! I do a combination of all-in-ones and prefolds and covers. I would definitely use this gift card to buy more diapers! This would be a huge blessing for us because I am a stay at home mom to a precious three year old girl and a three month old (today!) baby boy!!

  6. Loved cloth diapering my first 2. Just prefolds and covers. Really cheap and easy. Plus I only paid for the diapers once for 2 kids. Then baby 3 came along as a surprise years later. Still looking for the cover that fits her tiny frame!

  7. I have used cloth diapers with a few of my children. Now its time for my first grandchild and my daughter in law is going to use cloth diapers. I would love to win them to help her start.

  8. I am expecting my first this fall and we would really like to try cloth. I had never heard of AppleCheeks before, I may have to try that!

  9. I never used the cloth diapers, although I wish I had! They are absolutely adorable and much more cost effective! One thing I would love to try from Sweer Little Blessings is their FunBites kitchen tool which instantly cuts kids food into bite size prices and is great for picky eaters. Or I would purchase a couple of cloth diapers or cute bibs for my younger sitter and her husband who are expecting their first baby, a boy, in August 🙂

  10. We’re just beginning the adoption process. I would love to try some cloth diapers when our baby comes home! I would be interested in the all-in-one diapers which I think would be better at getting my husband on board.

  11. I have used cloth diapers for my youngest three and have another on the way. I would love to try the apple cheeks brand. I’ve heard great things about them!

  12. I use cloth during the day and disposables at night. Love the thirsties covers over a prefold w/ snappy for infants, but much prefer a snap version of a fuzzibunz pocket for my toddler… it was a war every diaper change with my busy bee, pocket diapers are so much faster! The aplix on my covers is worn out and I’d love to get some more inserts for my pockets…I seem to have lost an insert somewhere! Thanks for posting this.

  13. To be completely honest, I’d probably buy a Boba Air. I have a bunch of baby carriers already, including a Boba 3G, but I love it and think that I’d love the Air, too!

  14. Our first baby is due in three weeks. I am planning on cloth diapering. I have decided to try using flats and prefolds with waterproof covers and pockets. I checked out the Sweet Little Blessings site. If I were to win the giveaway I think I would put it towards the Bummis Newborn Super Whisper Wrap. Thank you for hosting this giveaway! I enjoy your blog posts!

  15. I never used cloth diapers, but I would have liked to have tried. But all of our babies came in the middle of moves or other very eventful/stressful times and my husband was not the least bit interested in trying them.
I would purchase whatever a few of my friends would like/need. I have two friends that just had babies recently and one more that is due very soon.

  16. I’m expecting my first and, like you, I’d like to do a combination of cloth and disposable diapers. My husband isn’t totally sold on the idea of cloth (although I do most of the laundry 😉 ), so I’d want to have both so we can both be comfortable changing the baby. That said, I am a little nervous about the initial cost of cloth diapers, so I would LOVE to win one! And I’d totally get some diapers from Sweet Little Blessings. 🙂

  17. I full-time cloth diaper with my 10 month old baby girl and have since she was 2 months old! I have enjoyed every second of it and even my DH wants to join in with it, so that’s a plus! We are expecting our little boy in July. He is our little surprise baby from God. ❤️ Any help with cloth diapers is of course greatly appreciated. What I would love to try most would be an Applecheeks. I mainly do pre-folds with covers and pockets as well. I would love to not have to unstuff and let the insert come out in the washer! That sounds wonderful!

  18. Wow, the apple cheeks look really easy to use! We tried cloth with our first. The pins or snappi was a huge stumbling block for my husband, and after he stuck the baby once, he was DONE.

  19. I would love pre folds and snappable covers. When I last cloth diapered 9 years ago, I used diaper pins!!

  20. QI cloth diapered my last child full time . I am now cloth diapering my Grand Princess full time. She was cloth diapered just a few hours after birth, I would loves of get more covers, a few more flaat. I totally love love flats. Trainers would be good too,

  21. I’d probably order Bummis Super Brite covers because they’re one of my favorites, and we’re running low on covers because of both them wearing out (the second kid to wear most of our diapers is 21 months old) and the baby is starting to outgrow the mediums and I never needed larges with her sister who only weighs 30 lbs at 4.
I actually may go order for real because the to many prefolds road to covers struggle is real.

  22. Wow! What a great giveaway! I have been cloth diapering for 10 years now (I have 9 children). I would order some new inserts for my pockets and probably a few girly covers for my new little one who is too small yet for the one size diapers. I tend to order more gender neutral and even boyish prints/colors since I know that they will have to be reused, but I think I have enough now that I can put some cute girly prints on my newest baby girl! 🙂
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  23. We use both cloth and disposables. I started cloth diapering with our fourth, who is now three. He is potty trained, so now we have a two year old and 5 month old in diapers. I personally like Flips best.
I would like to try a diaper sprayer, I have heard really positive things about them.

  24. We cloth and disposable. My daughter outgrew a lot of her cloth so I would get some larger sizes and training pants.and neutral colors incase another baby comes our way Thanks for the lovely giveaway!

  25. I have never used cloth but I have been interested in using them. I just had my newest just over 2 weeks ago so I would get a couple for him to use around the house and in case we ever run out of disposable.

  26. I do not use cloth diapers. But have always wanted to. I like the Apple cheek and that leek proof back for blow outs! Thanks for giveaway

  27. I’m a mom of six and all of my children used cloth diapers, although like you, I was not a slave to them and used them when I wanted to. The last one is a number of years past diapers and . . . my young grandchildren landed in our household. So now I’m back to diapers and would love to win the gift card and buy diapers for the younger one to wear to bed.

  28. We are pregnant with #4 and have always wanted to try cloth diapers, just never had the courage to switch over. The cloth diapers are so stylish and look easy to use

  29. I am currently cloth diapering my just turned 3 year old most of the time. I would be interested in products for my 14 month old as I am not cloth diapering him at this time.

  30. I used “old fashioned” cloth diapers with my oldest (now 4 yrs) and did not like them at all. Shortly before having my third baby (now 20 M) I met someone who introduced me to the more modern cloth diapers so I decided to try them out and loved them. I use cloth diapers when at home. when we go out I tend to use disposable diapers. But even using them mainly at home I have found that I do not have to purchase as many disposable diapers as I would if using disposable diapers full time.

  31. We are pregnant with #5 and would love to do cloth diapering as much as possible. 🙂 I would love to use the $40 toward buying cloth diapers….

  32. We have used cloth diapers on babies 5, 6 and 7. Wish we had done it sooner! The cloth always contain the poopy blowout that the disposables never did. We found that fitted diapers with a Thirsties or wool cover work best for us, but I would love to try the AppleCheeks. 🙂

  33. I cloth diaper and have for all four boys–so nearly 9 years straight! We do use disposable for nights since #3 though. I would love to try the Applecheeks pocket diapers.

  34. I don’t cloth diaper but wouldn’t mind giving it a try. So, I would definitely go for the ease of a pocket diaper like AppleCheeks.

  35. I used cloth diapers the most with my last baby, although with all of them it was not full-time. I like them too for those times you run out of disposables. 😉 I would add a few all-in-ones to my stash with the gift card. I have flip covers & a few pocket diapers. I don’t like the pocket ones as much as the flip covers.

  36. i do cloth diaper! my son is almost 3 months old and i love using cloth with him. i’d probably use the gift certificate towards some cloth diaper cream or a new brand of diaper to try out 🙂

  37. Just started to cloth diaper. I clothed diapered 10 years ago and it was very different, so not sure what I would buy. Perhaps Grovia or bestbottoms.

  38. I have cloth diapered each of mine off and on as well. I really enjoy it but when it gets to be too much, I give myself the freedom to use disposable. I think that’s a great way to go 😉

  39. I cloth diapered part time with #5 and loved it! My husband was not crazy about it, but he couldn’t deny how cute they are. I may have to try the apple cheek ones, we really like our bumgenius’. With #6 due in May, we want some fun prints 😉

  40. I have used cloth diapers for both of my kids, and it has saved us so much money, aside from being cute and working well! I do use some disposables for outings, and sometimes church. I am expecting our new baby daughter any day, and I would love to buy a few Thirsties duo fab fitteds!

  41. I have a little one due in August and have wanted to do cloth! My husband and I were also in college when our 1st was born so I did not have the time or desire to try them then, although I was concerned with the chemicals. This would be such a blessing to us financially if we could win!

  42. I have a few times in the past. And I’m hoping now that we are kind of settling in to try again. I use the econobum diapers and I would probably use this to get more in girly colors since I have only blue and green and my baby is a girl! 😀

  43. We are expecting our 2nd reversal baby in a month, blessing number 6:D. We have only used cloth (at home only) with our first reversal baby and I love it! I would love to try…excuse me, I would love for my husband to try;-) the applecheeks you recommended. He has no problem with disposables so that might be a good option for him. Thank you for this opportunity!

  44. I currently have 2 in cloth diapers, one is close to potty training. I have been using cloth diapers for just about 4 years now. All three of my littles have been cloth diapered. I think I would buy a pair of super undies night time training pants for my 3 year old who still needs pull ups at night time

  45. I’d love to get this gift card for a very close friend who is about to have a baby. They are wanting to use cloth diapers!

  46. We use cloth diapers at home and disposables when we’re out more than a couple hours for our almost two-year-old and seven week old. The baby currently still fits into newborn cloth diapers, but we’re going to need to increase our bigger cloth diaper stash with two of them now!

  47. I am currently cloth diapering my little one as much as I can, giving myself to the freedom to cloth diaper when it works best for me and not feeling guilty about it. This time I am using flats. With other kids, I have struggled endlessly with getting my cloth diapers clean. So far flats are getting cleaned beautifully, and I use soap nuts to wash them!
I really hope I win because I just discovered today, that one of my covers is wearing out, and has small little tears in the PUL. I hope I can still use it without leaks! If I won, I would get some more covers.

  48. Thank you for the giveaway. I cloth diapered both of my babies and I have loved every second of it! I’m now building a stash for a new baby we are currently ttc. 🙂

  49. I do cloth diaper and I’m in need of more covers! D is still in the small sized covers and they’re not so much covering his diaper anymore. 😉

  50. I could really use a few more cloth diapers, I gave away most of mine and now I have decided to continuing fostering little ones. I would probably use the gift certificate for diapers or a baby carrier

  51. I currently am using disposables since my husband feels like it’s too much for me to keep 3 children (2.5, 13 months, and newborn) in cloth all the time and the 4 year old at nap time. I do certainly look forward to getting back to the cloth my favorites that I have tried so far are the bum genius (after prefolds and rubber pants they seem amazing).

  52. We are in the process of adopting our first, and I am determined to mostly cloth diaper to help save money. I know if I dont start early on, I probably won’t do it! I’m very interested in trying the Grovia hybrid diapers because of their versatility and that they are available in at least one of our local “big box” baby stores, which is very helpful for those attending baby showers and such. So I would probably put the gift certificate towards starting my stash.

  53. Congratulations Caroline on the birth of Sophia! She looks darling! My last baby was 10’8″ and hearing how much more difficult it is to have a large baby, you are inspiring me to avoid sugar and exercise…maybe things will go easier. Hope you are all doing well!
Thanks for hosting this giveaway. I cloth diapered the last and hope to again, but need more covers…:-)

    • Thank you! We tested my sugar levels and I didn’t have gestational diabetes. I was glad to know that was not the problem!
