A guest post by Ruth from Skirted Blues.
Spring seems to be very slow in coming this year in our neck of the woods. I am little tired of my winter wardrobe, but it is still too cool for much of my spring stuff. This is when I especially love layers! I am a big fan of the bright spring colors, so I don’t mind piling them on in layers. 🙂 This is the outfit I wore on the first day of spring while attending a homeschool convention. I had so many people come up to me and thank me for dressing like spring! I guess they all agreed that it had been a long, cold winter!

I love the Maurice’s camisoles for layering. I am particular to that brand because of the fact that you can tighten the straps (thus raising the neckline) as much as you want to. They are pretty and come in a wide assortment of bright colors that change with the season. I do have a tendency toward certain colors in my wardrobe (for instance, I almost never wear red, partly because it just doesn’t look good on me), so this is helpful in being able to mix and match outfits to make them feel different without having to own a lot of clothes or accessories.
This skirt I can wear with almost all of my spring tops. The boots (originally from my brother’s wedding) work for most of our seasons, not to mention that they match almost anything. I am a little like my grandmother when it comes to purses, though. She had a purse for every season and occasion. This is my spring/summer purse. I have a camouflage one for fall and winter.
