Modest Monday and a Link Up!

Merry Christmas Eve!!! I’m so excited that Christmas is here! I’m going to keep this short and sweet, so I can get back to family time.

We had our baking day on Saturday, Sean preached Sunday morning at our church, and then we came home and crashed for naps. We are headed to Sean’s mom’s house for Christmas Eve and everyone is excited about that! Christmas morning we will spend at our house, and then in the afternoon we will go to Sean’s Grandpa’s house where all the extended family will be.

I wore this shirt last year at Christmas time. I almost wore it to church a few weeks ago, but Sean told me I should save it back for the actual Christmas service. I don’t have a lot of red or green in my wardrobe, so I was glad I kept it back for something Christmas looking!

I could go on and on about how much hair I’ve lost since I had Emily. I’m really hoping it stops soon, it’s becoming really noticeable to me how much thinner my hair is right now. :/ I’ve gone down a Flexi Clip size even!

I started a new thyroid supplement, so I’m hoping it helps slow down the hair loss.

Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas….I’ll be back after the holidays with some fun after Christmas sales with our businesses, and year end round up posts.

What I Wore

Shirt – JCPenny

Skirt – It used to be sold at Deborah & Co.

Shoes – Black Rockport flats from Zulily (can be found on Amazon here)

  1. Do you mind me asking which thyroid supplement you’re taking? I have been struggling with thyroid problems and the medicine I am on has some unwanted side effects. Thank you!

      1. Is it safe to take while nursing? I too have been struggling with thyroid issues for a while now. I have three healthy little ones, but had a miscarriage last August, came across your post about progesterone saving your baby’s life, started oaisis serene in December and am now 5 weeks pregnant. My OB switched me to Crinone progesterone, but I’m still having thyroid issues. My mother had thyroid cancer and had her thyroid removed, so I’m trying to stay on top of this.

        1. I personally feel comfortable taking it while nursing. I’m so sorry you had a miscarriage. 🙁 I’m thankful you found the post about the progesterone. I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well!!

          1. Thank you! That is helpful to know! Do you mind me asking what thyroid medicine they had you on while pregnant? I just can’t seem to get much help from my OB and GP even after blood work and neck ultrasounds.

          2. I’ve been on Armour Thyroid medicine for years now. I’m still supposed to be on it, but I need to test my thyroid again and see my doctor, and we pay for all of that out of pocket. Money is just tight right now, so I tried this supplement until I can get all that done and get back on my meds.

  2. I adore the bell sleeves on your top. It’s just gorgeous.
Have you thought about adding powdered collagen to your daily vitamins? I add it to my coffee each morning, and it really does help strengthen your hair, which helps me with hair fall. Just a suggestion. Good luck.
Thank you for hosting. Have a wonderful holiday!
