We started school this week! At the end of the school week the school room downstairs is rather a mess, but it still needs organized better from moving. It was a chaotic week, I had to borrow two different books from other moms because I still can’t find them, but I’m thankful to be getting started!

Stitch Fix Maxi Dress

We have had a long complicated disaster with our wood floors. We were doing them ourselves, and Sean had them almost perfect, but messed up the edges. We hired someone to fix it but it actually became much worse. At this point we now have to hire someone else to come in and sand down all the floors. All over again. Yikes! We are frustrated, but at this point we just really want to get these silly floors done so we can move in all our bedrooms. Sean and I are sleeping in the living and the children are downstairs in the basement on mattresses.

All of that means a lot of my clothes are still packed up! I’m thankful for this dress I got from Stitch Fix last year, as all I needed was a Halftee under it. That makes an easy Sunday outfit!

Flexi Clip

I’m using an XS Flexi Clip to pull some of my hair back. Everyone except Sophia got haircuts this and it felt so good to chop a few inches off and have some more layers put in my hair. I can still do plenty of hairstyles with my flexi clips, which is always a requirement when I go to cut my hair!

Don’t forget to join the Better Day, Better You challenge that starts September 1st! The Facebook group is already going great and I’m loving the amazing response!

Have a lovely Monday!

  1. Love that dress! Once your home school room downstairs is how you want it, could you post a pic and how you organize subjects and books, over flow material ect.

  2. I’m so sorry to hear about the floors, but I’m sure it will all be worth it when it’s done and God may show you some things you wouldn’t have seen if it hadn’t happened. Thanks for hosting, Caroline.
