Modest Monday and a Link Up!
I had an amazing week! Sean and I went to San Diego, California for a business trip. I never, ever thought I would be in California, and I fell in love with the area we were at! The weather was beautiful, even if it did rain the first two days we were there, and it hadn’t rained since March!
After the convention was over we rented a mustang convertible for a day and drove about two hours away to see the Lilla Rose headquarters. It was so awesome to see where all the fantastic flexi clips are actually shipped from, and visit with the owner and meet all the workers! You can see a picture on Instagram where I’m wearing some new purple sunglasses from Lilla Rose in the mustang! 🙂
We attended a conference for bloggers, and it was my first time to attend a convention like this. It was really nice to be with 100 other people who just get this lifestyle, and don’t look at us like we are crazy because we both work from home. 🙂 Sean and I both came home recharged, full of new ideas and new visions. My to do list is a mile long!
I’m wearing a new maxi dress from Pink Blush. They sent me three different dresses to review, and this is my favorite one! It’s the Royal Blue Basic Maxi, and I think it’s a flattering style for postpartum moms. Since my youngest is now 18 months (where has the time gone??) I’m not postpartum, just really struggling to lose the weight from her difficult pregnancy. It’s been a challenge to find clothes that look right, especially since I haven’t wanted to invest in a lot of clothes that are a size bigger.
The wind was blowing out in the country, so it’s was hard to get a good full length picture of the dress! It’s a really soft fabric, but definitely does need a slip under it.
This dress is really long, so plan on hemming it if you are a petite length. I’m 5’5″ and the only way I can wear this dress is with sandals on that have a chunky heel. I really should hem it, but I just haven’t taken the time yet.
Pink Blush offers a lot of maternity clothes, but has a decent collection of women’s clothes as well. I’ve had a few of their maternity clothes as well, and always found them comfortable, the material is just on the thinner side for knit.
Wearing a short sleeve halftee under the dress works great. I love this fairly new necklace from JCPenny! My husband said he should start calling me a blueberry, since blue is apparently my color. 🙂
A classic french braid can be enhanced by a Lilla Rose flexi clip! Just twist the braid under and secure it with a flexi clip. My layers are definitely slipping out of the braid by the end of the day, I needed more bobby pins! If you don’t have layers it works even better. 🙂
My new purse from ThredUP! I love the bright cheery polka dot colors!
The colors work good for spring, summer, and even fall with the deeper burgundy colors in it! This is the second purse I’ve ordered off of ThredUP, and I have yet to be disappointed!
**Don’t forget that today is the last day for the pre-order special of the four new styles of Princess play dresses from Deborah & Co. Here is a sneak peak at one of them, my personal favorite. 🙂
It’s also the very last day you can grab the Ultimate Healthy Living Bundle! I’ve been enjoying a lot of resources found in this bundle, and the physical bonus offers are worth getting the bundle for alone! I know you are probably hearing about this bundle online a lot right now, so this is the last mention today you will hear of it from me. 😉
