Modest Monday and a Link Up!
Oh how I miss this piano! We went to my mother in law’s house to set up her Christmas tree, which is a yearly tradition now. My grand piano has been at her house for the last 3 years while we have lived in our rental house. We just don’t have room for it in our small living room, and I can’t wait for the day when we get it back!
Speaking of houses, we went to an auction this week to bid on a house. We didn’t win the bid, but we are actively house hunting. It’s an emotional roller coaster ride, trying to wait on the Lord for the perfect house. We moved Sophia into the girls room, so we have a bunkbed, a toddler bed and now a pack and play in one small room. You can’t do much in the room besides sleeping and getting dressed in there now. It could be so much worse, but we have definitely outgrown the house we are at.
I’m wearing Jamberry nails called Apple Cider! They have more gold sparkles on them than what shows up in the picture. I recently had a friend give me some tips on applying them (I needed more heat than what my hair dryer was giving me) and I’ve fallen in love with wearing them! I put them on and they last for 2 weeks on my nails.
We have already had 2 Thanksgiving dinners and are looking forward to our smaller Thanksgiving gathering on the actual day with just close family members. It’s such a fun and encouraging time of year as we reflect on all our blessings!

House hunting can be really hard especially for a large family! When we outgrew our rental home it was so hard to find a home in the country within our price range that would fit a large family and that was child friendly (a fence protecting from busy country roads). We are thankful that the Lord provided us with a home that was perfect and that our realtor was able to secure us (she was awesome). We are in OK but I grew up in MN and I am surprised with how much smaller the homes are in OK compared to my home state.

Good luck on your house hunting, I can say it is very overwhelming. I paid mine off a year ago seven years ahead of time. I raised 4 kids out of a 2 bedroom house so I know where your at, I just sold both of my Moms homes after her passing 3 years ago. Take your time, & don’t rush you have plenty of time.
