Modest Monday and a Link Up
It’s been a good week. Super busy, but that seems to be life. 🙂
The private Facebook group that I set up for sharing modest outfits has been really encouraging! Sometimes Facebook groups can be difficult to admin if people don’t get along, or don’t want to follow the rules. This group has been such a joy, and I’ve been inspired by some of the outfits posted!
I had a necklace on with this outfit, but I had to take it off at church because Miss Sophia would not stop trying to grab it and chew on it! Since it was a locket that could be opened with charms inside, I didn’t want to risk her choking on something.
Our air has not been working for the past few days so I’ve been extra hot. I wore my hair down to church in the mini flexi clip but when we got home I needed it up! I had matching clips so I thought it looked ok. 🙂
I’ve had a lot of good discussions with my husband this week. Between reading an amazing new homeschool book, launching the Character Badges and talking about our future as a self employed family and how that will look, and then reading about the latest with Josh Duggar, we have had a lot to talk through.
Friday night I sat and read several pages of Teaching From Rest to Sean and was crying by the time I was done. So many good things in a small book that describes how I want my homeschool days to go. And it reaches far beyond just what a homeschool schedule should look like, the heart of the matter is reaching my children, forming a relationship with them that will last when the rough years might hit.
Time is short and precious. Life is unpredictable, but one thing stands firm. God is unshakable, unchangeable, and will forever remain the same. When our world feels turbulent, we can rest in the peace that only comes from the Lord. Sure, I get panicky at times thinking of raising my children in this crazy world we live in. But I know that the Lord’s word is true, and He will prevail over all evil!
Keep pressing on!
And with that…here is the link up!

Caroline,
Thanks again for a sweet party…and “Teaching From Rest” sounds like a book I should look into…
Have a great week 🙂
Thanks so much for hosting! I hope you have an amazing week! xoxo
You look great in your magenta skirt and black top combo!
Very encouraging words! Thank you!
What a great outfit and awesome hair accessory! Thanks for hosting and hope you have an amazing week 🙂
Thank you!
I really like the look of your long skirt and black top. It is good to see modesty is beautiful too. Hopefully the future generations can see why dressing modest is better than not.
