Fall Jacket and Hat {Day 24}
When the days are cool and you are planning to be outside, it is extra fun to wear something you actually like instead of grabbing an old sweatshirt.
We were going to a pro-life event to hold up signs for an hour, and the weather was chilly, so I pulled out my matching fall jacket and hat. The scarf I already had on from the outfit I wore that day.

The jacket I found on Zulily last year, and decided to get it since I was really needing a new jacket. I had previously been wearing a jacket that was way too big on me.
The hat was a gift from my husband last Christmas. I haven’t worn it much, simply because not many of my friends wear hats, so I felt….silly? Awkward? I’m not sure what, but I decided to just do it and not think about what people thought. 🙂 Hats are super cute and I wish more ladies wore them!
It’s ok to be modest and have fun with your outfit!
Here are a few coats I like that are available on Amazon:
CHAREX wool gray coat – the collar is feminine looking!
Blue Peacoat – I love this color!

Cloche Bucket Hat with Flowers
**Today only you can get these girl’s maxi skirts on Jane website for just $14.99! Since I have a 5 year old who adores long skirts, these look wonderful! They normally sell out very fast when they are on this daily deals site.**

So glad you wore the hat – love it!!
I’d love to wear hats. I need to learn to do my hair (long and curly) so I could. My hubby hates to see flat hair. Any suggestions (maybe a post I can pin?) lol
So pretty!
You look super cute, & I love the hat! I always feel the same way in hats, (something I’m trying to overcome, since I have so many knitting & crochet patterns for hats) but you look great, so you should wear that hat all of the time! 🙂
Love the hat!!! You look so cute with it on! I am going to have to look for one now:)
Do you mind sharing where your hubby got it?
He purchased it from Kohls last December.
I agree with you hats are really cute and feminine, but not very many women wear them. I have several of them, but have only ever wore one out in public once (it was a ladies tea and almost everyone was wearing one then). It make me wonder why?
I have to be in a certain mood to wear a hat, because I receive more attention and compliments and don’t always want the extra attention 🙂 VERY cute ensemble, Caroline!
My email from your website looked very different this morning. It had a different format and only showed the first few sentences of your post and then click here to read more. Please tell me that it is not always going to be like that! I love that your emails have the WHOLE post in the them. If I have to click away somewhere else to read, I’ll just be honest and say it probably won’t happen. Thank you for a great blog and beautiful encouraging posts!
Jennifer,
We just switched to a different email company that delivers the blog posts to your inbox. We were trying different formats out, but will be going back to the old way of delivering the whole blog post. 🙂
I love hats, but often feel self conscious wearing them. It’s also a bit difficult at times to figure out what to do with my hair, since it is knee length:) (any suggestions?) With a slouch hat, I’ll twist it up in a bun and put the hat over it. With a tighter beanie, I wear my hair down in a braid over my shoulder. My problem is that I love loud colors, and i need some neutral colored clothes to go with my hats. (or neutral hat to go with bright clothes:)
You look very good in hats! 😀 I don’t, so I never wear one unless it’s REALLY cold outside. 🙁 I wish I could wear them though….
Just a quick question, did you change the site or company that sends out your blog emails? It looks really different this time, I have to click a link to be able to read the whole post.
Thank you!
We did change the company that sends out blog emails. We tried it today just sending out a portion of the post, but will go back to the regular way of sending out the whole post. 🙂
You look fab! I love the jacket and the hat, you really should wear it often as possible!
Thanks for the links, I need a new coat 🙂
Your hat is really cute and looks really good on you.
I wear hats to church, as a headcovering. I’m the only one (usually) that has anything on their head, hat or otherwise. If anyone else has something on, it’s for fashion and not “covering”. Yes, it can make you feel “weird”, but I’m used to being weird! lol
I do believe I prefer this e-mail company better, as I haven’t been getting any blog e-mails from the other one.
Love the hat! I just bought a beret that I’m excited about wearing!

I wear baseball-style hats when I’m outside in summer. They really aren’t feminine, but I need to shield my eyes from the sun – the glare can give me bad headaches. I have one really cute newsie-style wool hat that is perfect for fall; I wore if a couple weeks ago to go apple-picking. I should wear it more often. 🙂
Caroline, you look gorgeous in this style!! You remind me of Audrey Hepburn looks! Love the hat! Unlike you I have a big head so no hat fits me, but you look gorg in it!!!!
I just started my blog: http://theeyesofadove.blogspot.com/
I would love anyone’s visit!! God Bless Y’all
Enjoy your hat, it looks lovely on you!
