After a break for Thanksgiving and our huge Black Friday sale, I wanted to get back to Dressing for the Holidays and address Christmas outfits!

When one thinks of Christmas colors, you automatically think of red for Christmas. There are some lovely ways to dress for holidays with Christmas colors, let’s just make sure we don’t look like a Christmas ornament though. A bright green shirt paired with a bright red skirt is not the way to look festive and pretty. 🙂

Christmas time brings lots of parties and concerts to attend. It’s a fun time to dress up and visit with friends and family. For these events, you can’t go wrong with combining black and red together. It looks very refined and festive.

Here is an outfit I recently purchased at Catos, and I wore it to church and to have family pictures taken.

Some of my favorite black skirts and dresses are:

The Formal Evening Skirt

Midnight Stretch Skirt

(This is sold in the maternity section, but it’s really good for women or maternity sizes. I wore my skirt before I got pregnant, all nine months through, and now almost a year later I’m still wearing the same skirt!)

You could wear this red cowlneck sweater with a black skirt for a very festive look:

Women’s 3/4 Sleeve Knit Dress

This dress comes in solid black, but for some reason it wouldn’t let me save the black version of the dress. For those of you who simply must have that famous little black dress in your closet, this might be a modest choice. It actually comes to a nice length! I’ve not tried this on, I’ve just admired it on the Lands End website several times.

Those are just a few ideas I have for Christmas outfits. I’m going to be sharing some hair tutorials and some thoughts on makeup soon. I’d love to hear what your favorite Christmas outfits are to wear!
