DIY: Chocolate Lip Scrub For Dry Lips!
I’ve been drinking water, and putting on my absolute favorite lip balm (Mango & Ginger by Grove, only through ePantry. This stuff is amazing!). My lips are still really dry though, so I was going to purchase a lip scrub when I realized I could easily make one!
My weakness is chocolate, so the thought of a chocolate lip scrub sounded really yummy! This recipe is very easy to make, and I had everything in my pantry without a trip to the store for a special ingredient!
I don’t like doing super complicated projects, but this one is super easy to make. Here is what you need.
Ingredients
1 scant tablespoon coconut oil
½ teaspoon raw honey
½ teaspoon raw cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons fine granulated sugar
1 tablespoon grated chocolate
Directions
Make a double boiler by putting water in one pan, and setting a pan on top of it, or just use an actual double boiler pan if you have one! Measure out a scant tablespoon of coconut oil, and melt it over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and add all the other ingredients. Mix together and pore into a small glass or metal container.
Store this out of direct sunlight, and discard after a year. If you find it’s runny, put it in in the fridge to harden for 10 minutes. The cold will make the coconut oil set up.
To use ~ Apply to your lips in circular motions. Scrub until you feel all the dry skin come off, and rinse well. Add your favorite lip balm and go find your husband and give him a big kiss! 😉
