Back To Homeschool 2013 Pictures!

Back To Homeschool 2013 Pictures

I love taking Back to School Pictures each year, the morning of our first school day. When I look back on how much they have grown in a year, it is wonderful and sad at the same time! 🙂

Carrianna picked out the matching dresses for the girls to wear on their first day back. The boys didn’t wear anything special, because they are boys. 🙂

The signs I printed off for the children to hold can be printed off here. A great Pinterest find. 🙂

Mosiah First Day of school

Mosiah is now in 4th grade. It seems like just yesterday he was the newborn baby laying on the couch. My time with him is slipping away, but I’m trying my best to build memories and train him into manhood. So incredibly thankful for a husband by my side as we do that job together. Mosiah is a reader and will become engrossed in almost any book he gets his hands on, just like his mother was at his age. He is my helper, and I’m so thankful that he loves his young siblings and is sweet. I’m also thankful he is still innocent to much of the world and it’s ways.

Israel first day of school

Israel is my encourager. His whole life has been a testimony to me, showing me of God’s providence in preserving his life while in the womb, and then shortly after he was born. I feel sure this child is destined to do something special for the Lord and look forward to discovering what this will be. Israel flies through his school most days, leaving me scrambling to come up with more for him to do. {Don’t you love the socks with the flip flops? I said to put shoes on to go take a picture….this is how he came out. All boy. :)}

Carrianna Kindergarten

Carrianna was the daughter we both hoped to have after our two sweet boys. Since boys are not prominent in my husbands family, we were hoping to have at least one daughter. Little did we know that two more would follow after her! Carrianna is all girl, she loves my American Girl Dolls, and likes to go on girly dates with me. She is eager to cook in the kitchen, and is finally looking forward to the day when she can read. 🙂

Olivia in Preschool

My Olivia Pearl, or Livy as I call her often. This girl is hysterical. In public and around friends they see little of the side of her that has melted our hearts. She says the funniest things, looks at us in the cutest ways, likes to follow us around the house, plays with her brothers and sisters, and yes, at three still lets us know exactly what she wants. We are working on that one. 🙂 She is excited to learn, and loves to sit and cuddle on my lap during school read aloud time.

Deborah is 1, so we didn’t take her own school picture. She loves to spend our school time climbing the table and school desks, getting in the paint, dumping the containers of crayons, and eventually taking a nap after wearing herself out from mischief. 🙂 Oh how I love my Deborah Grace though. She has brought me so much comfort and joy since my mother died (whom she is named after). She even looks like my mother, and one time when she turned and looked at me it took my breath away. Her eyes are like my mothers. Since she is the baby of the family right now she receives lots of hugs and cuddles and kisses!

  1. I loved your pictures, Caroline. We have the same ages of kids. They started 4th, 2nd and K this week, too. 🙂 The other two are just my little helpers this year – no official Preschool for the little guy, he barely turned 4, so I’m giving him another year. 🙂

    You have a beautiful family!!

    Blessings to your day!

  2. This was a beautiful post! Could you tell me what kind of pink flower that is in the picture–the ones with the “stalky stems?”

  3. Thank you for sharing your beautiful family and sweet story of your adorable Deborah. Blessings this school year!

  4. Your children are beautiful and you are such a blessing. As I scrolled through your pictures I would not help but notice that they all have very similar, distinct eyes. Precious.
