Feminine Friday (modest workout clothes and more!)
We went to the track last night so I could walk and my husband could run. He has had a running injury and has not been able to run for 2 months now. I’ve been trying to encourage him to at least walk, to try and work his way back into running.
It was an impromptu trip to the track in-between cello and violin lessons, so I just wore the Rainbow Denim skirt I already had on, but I put tennis shoes on. I’m working (once again!) on getting up and exercising so it was really nice to get outside and walk! I also really like using a workout skirt, like this modest athletic skort.
Don’t forget, you can find where everything is from in each picture by clicking on the words underneath each picture! I’ve found that some people have been confused by this…. 🙂
Keeping Fit….Keeping Style
Stepping Out In Style
Skirt ~ Sweater ~ Coat ~ Boots ~ Necklace ~ Jamberry Wraps ~ Flexi Clip
If you need a coat, the pink coat shown here is from Target and it looks adorable, plus it’s on sale! I really like wearing long denim skirts in the wintertime, if it’s really cold I’ll put fleece lined leggings under them!
The Plaid Fox
Skirt ~ T-Shirt ~ Blouse ~ Boots ~ Watch ~ Jamberry Nail Wraps ~ Hairband
The Jamberry Fox Wraps just complete this plus size outfit! I’d love to hear if you have purchased a pair of ankle boots to wear with skirts? I’ve been undecided on them, probably because I don’t have good memories of the last time ankle boots were in style. Ha! My clothing choices have changed quite a bit since then. 😉
Just a reminder, the special offer with ePantry is ending this weekend! The free Mrs. Meyer’s cleaning kits are going fast, so I wouldn’t want you to miss out if you wanted to grab a kit! You can go to this post for all the details on how to get one!

I am planning on purchasing a workout skirt this month. I want to start running but I’ve been putting it off simply because I don’t like running in culottes! Thank you for sharing these outfit ideas!
Yesterday was such a lovely day to go out and enjoy the sunshine. I ended up walking a mile with my oldest daughter and youngest in the stroller. Then she came home to make dinner so I could walk another mile with my neighbor. 57 in January is unheard of but not unappreciated :).
I had Sophia in the baby carrier, she will not let me put her down in a stroller. lol I’m glad you got to go outside and enjoy it as well!
I had to comment because I tried on that same pink coat at target last week. Unfortunately, they didn’t have my size and when I looked online, it wasn’t on sale? But, now I wished I had gotten it online anyway because as of yesterday, online was sold out of my size as well ? I might have to make the treck to a target further away. Thanks for putting together these Femine Friday posts. I love your style and I’ve actually bought quite a few of the items you’ve featured!
I read the reviews on the coat that they said the sizing was a little funny. I hope you can find one that fits locally! I think it’s so cute. I’m glad you like the outfits and ideas!
I am all for being modest when working out especially in today’s day and age of leggings and underclothing being viewed as proper attire for working out. One area in workout clothes that is important is looking like a woman when you workout. Some exchange modesty for femininity when exercising. Ladies, don’t throw a sloppy t-shirt and men’s basketball shorts on because it is more covering. You are sacrificing femininity which is your God given gender and beautiful. This being said, you can wear loose fitting capris or knit pants with a feminine print or color shirt and still be modest. I like the skort shown but 60 dollars is a lot to spend. There are other ways to be modest and exercise if you cannot afford that much for one item of clothing. I have found many modest feminine workout clothes at goodwill
I would LOVE a list of modest workout videos/programs that can be used at home. I am having a hard time finding programs that have women in modest clothing 🙁 Even the ‘christian’ videos like Faithful Workouts have cleavage showing! I have two young children and if anyone has ideas for modest workout videos I would love them!
