The above poem was written by Ellen J. Macrorie, and published in her book of poems in 1928….some people have tried to claim it for their own by changing a word here or there. My father framed it many years ago, and added roses to the frame, giving each of us children a copy for our homes. Ellen J. Macrorie was my grandmother. Thanks…df
