It was a cold and dreary day on Sunday, and after a week of super nice weather it turned cold and we had snow on Saturday! I know it shouldn’t be quite so warm here in Missouri yet, I don’t want the bugs coming out super early, but it was so nice to have warm days with sunshine.

Sean and I put on a dinner at our church Saturday night for the older youth and Sean gave a message to them after dinner. He has been Pastor for the past three years but someone else will be taking over next month. In our church being the Pastor is not a paid position and you are voted in each year. We are ready for the change, even though he has been very willing to do it. This was the last big thing he wanted to do, and I really wanted to support him and make the meal for the older youth. So our Saturday was spent buying groceries and cooking the dinner. I think it turned out nice, and it was a lot of fun!

I woke up Sunday morning exhausted (daylight savings time change did not help!) so I wasn’t in the mood to put together an outfit. This dress was nice to grab, along with a halftee tank under it and a sweater.

This dress is really long on me, so I wore these ankle boots that had a heel. It helped me not trip on the dress climbing the stairs at church and chasing after Sophia! I found the ankle boots on Zulily and really wish I had went up half a size in them. I only wear them to church or out on a date, never around the house. I’m on a search to find more comfortable dress up shoes, but my shoe budget is pretty limited. I’ve been wearing adorable $6 pair of polka dot chambray flats from Walmart quite a bit!

I had zero time to wash my hair before church, so I just used a Lilla Rose hairband and pulled it back with a medium Flexi Clip that matched. Not the best hair day ever, but not every day has to be the best. 🙂

What I Wore

Dress – Pink Blush

Cami – Halftee Tank

Boots – Zulily (Naturalizer brand)

Headband and Flexi Clip – Lilla Rose

  1. Caroline, Love, love, love your dress! It’s says spring…the other day I was watching some women and realized that we don’t wear dresses often enough! I’m prone to put my jeans on at home as well, but I’d love to start wearing more dresses, even if they don’t fit me perfectly!

  2. I’m sure the youth (and their families) appreciated the time and personal connection you and Sean made with them at dinner on Saturday! As a mom, I always appreciate other Christ-centered adults encouraging my children and being role models for them.

  3. I just love your dress! I’m always amazed by how many nice dresses you have. I guess my budget just isn’t big enough to find the really nice dresses because everything nice I find is way too much for my budget.

    • I was sent this dress awhile back to review on the blog. Some of the clothes I have I ended up getting free with credit from different stores through blogging, or free because I reviewed them on the blog. My clothing budget is not as large as it looks. 🙂
