Christmas was wonderful! I really hope you all had such a lovely day as our family did. Overall it was crazy busy, we spent 7 hours on the road on Christmas Eve, to spend a few hours with family. It was fun, just exhausting. Sunday we slept in, had a wonderful service at home for a change and spent a lot of time singing Christmas carols at the piano. Then we had a nice breakfast together, and finally opened up gifts together. It was so wonderful! No fighting between children, no business work pressing on me, no homeschooling, just a beautiful day to build memories.

Friday we went to my Mother-In-Law’s house and had a baking day, making all sorts of goodies for Christmas. That night we had Christmas together, which was so much fun.

I wore this comfortable outfit to baking day. Sean wasn’t crazy about these shoes with the outfit, but I told him I needed to be comfortable, and I couldn’t handle wearing my boots all day. Maybe one day I’ll find a pair of boots that I can wear all day long without any pain!

Sean surprised me for Christmas and got me an adorable new bike! You can see pictures of it here. He knew that I really wanted to get out and exercise this coming year, and our children received bikes from Grandparents so we all have enough bikes for the whole family!

  1. Merry Christmas Caroline! May I make a recommendation for awesome pain free boots?? Look into the brand Vionic. They are wonderful! I first bought a pair of sandals from them per my father-in-law’s recommendation (he’s a podiatrist) and I wore them during a trip to Florida when I was 36 weeks pregnant. I had no pain in my feet, knees or hips and we did a ton of walking! Vionic has a adorable boots and shoes as well. They are a bit pricey but they last a super long time (I got three years out of my last pair) and they are worth it for the quality of shoe. Zulily has them on their site too! I hope you enjoy your week of relaxing and being with your family. 🙂

  2. Hello Caroline!
Happy New Year to you and your family!
Just thought I would give my two cents on boots…I have Keen boots, you know, the sandal people? They are so comfortable that I don’t like taking them off:)
