Friday we took a much needed field trip for school. We went with my sister and her boys, and visited a huge old house that was fascinating and full of history. There was even a cave under the house! It sat on over 200 acres, so we brought a picnic and then went on a 3 mile hike! We rambled along, slowly picking up acorns and enjoying the countryside, until an hour had passed. We thought we surely were almost through, when we reached the halfway mile marker! With 7 children along, it took us 2 hours to get through that trail! Whew. We throughly enjoyed it, but were quite ready for a drink of water when we were done.

Pink striped knit dress for a comfortable, everyday dress!

Stopping to take a break on the 3 mile trail!

Pink striped maxi skirt for a long ramble in the woods!

I’m wearing our knit striped raspberry dress. It’s such a great dress for a comfortable, casual everyday outfit, but you can dress it up with a denim jacket!

Gathering acorns in the woods!

We had so much fun gathering acorns! I brought them home, and have put them in the oven on 200 degrees for 2 hours. Next I’m going to spray them with an acrylic spray and use them for decorating.
