A Christmas Gift Guide for New Moms!

I wanted to put together some Christmas gift guides, and I’m starting with a guide for new moms! Whether you are shopping for a mom who has just had her first baby, or a mom who is having her fifth, there are some good gift ideas here. I know some people think you are set with everything you need after the first baby, but new needs do arise. Diaper bags get worn out, and I had to replace several things when we had our fifth baby.

Here are some of my favorite gift ideas for new moms. (Affiliate Links Included)

Aden by aden + anais Muslin Swaddle blankets. I like having a new special blanket for each of my babies, something I can pass on to them as their own. I’ve never used these swaddle blankets but have seen lots of other moms use them. It’s on my own wish list for whenever we have another baby. 🙂

Ergo Baby Carrier. I invested in this carrier with our second child, and I have never regretted the money spent! If I had to choose between owning a stroller or a baby carrier, I would easily choose a baby carrier. They help me get so much done, and the Ergo carrier is one of the most comfortable out there.

Undercover Mama Nursing Tanks – I have worn these tanks with my last three babies, and out of all the different tanks I’ve tried I love these the best. They have two different types of hooks to just fasten onto your bra, and you can choose how you want it to connect. I love them so much I’ve even worn them when I’m not nursing! A new diaper bag. Between five children I’ve been through several different diaper bags! I love the one above –  it looks stylish and works for a boy or girl!

Teething necklace. I’ve always thought these necklaces were so neat, but it would be a splurge for me to get for myself! It is a necklace that mom can wear, and the baby can safely chew on. They come in different colors. This is a gift that would make mom and baby happy!

Freezer meals. This is a gift of love, but stocking a freezer full of meals ready to pull out is a huge, huge help for any new mom! I have a favorite freezer meal cookbook that I pull out and use, as well as recipes online.

My Breast Friend Nursing Pillow. I’ve tried the standard nursing pillow that is commonly used, but never liked it. I love the My Breast Friend pillow for the first few months, when it feels like all I do is sit on the couch and nurse!

A good water bottle. Whether the new mom is breastfeeding or bottle feeding, keeping hydrated is essential. I’ve learned it is much easier to have an actual water bottle with a lid on it with little ones about. This is a practical gift, but a mom with more than one baby might greatly appreciate it!

Large Family Logistics. I think this book is helpful whether you just had your first baby or your 10th! Lots of practical advice from an older mom on how to run a home.

I think flexi clips are a perfect gift for new mothers!  They are an easy way for a mom to style her hair in mere minutes and feel pretty – something that new mothers struggle with feeling!
