Modest Monday and a Link Up!
I’m either really devoted to the Modest Monday posts or just plain crazy! It was below zero and I ran outside really quick to take pictures for this post. It’s our second snow of the season here in Missouri, and we had a lovely weekend with all our activities canceled, and we snuggled up at home together.
I received another Stitch Fix box in the mail this week, and this sweater was one of the two items I kept. I love it! We forgot to take a picture of the back of the sweater, but it has the same green color in smaller stripes for the back. I was really hoping to get another nice sweater this year, so this was perfect!
It goes nicely with my Rainbow denim skirt and ankle boots. We are sold out of several sizes in this denim skirt at Deborah and Co, but we are currently having more manufactured, and will be restocking all sizes in the women’s and maternity early next year, plus offering a matching skirt for girls! We are pretty excited about this!
The style card that Stitch Fix sent along showed this sweater styled with a pair of jeans and ankle boots. So I tried the denim skirt instead. I wouldn’t wear this if I was really going out in such cold weather, but if it was a littler warmer without snow on the ground it would be fine. I previously just had slippers on, but wanted to finish the outfit look for the pictures. 🙂
Fleece lined leggings under skirts keep me warm all winter long! These are the best I’ve ever worn under skirts, as they don’t cling to your skirts like other leggings do that I’ve tried.
My to do list is huge this week! Today we celebrate the 7th birthday of our daughter Olivia, which is crazy that she is getting so old! I have to wrap all my gifts this week, and our Christmas weekend is super busy. A cello recital was rescheduled for this week, plus a Christmas service my children are singing in was rescheduled, due to the ice we had this week. So this week is looking to be even busier than I thought! It’s all good though, I’m looking forward to our Christmas break from school. So far my plan is to do school through Wednesday, then we are off for the rest of this week and next week. We will start school back up again the first of the year.
I hope you all have a great week! I probably won’t post much at all on here this week, if anything at all. I’m just trying to enjoy the last few weeks of 2016 with my family, and celebrate all the birthdays we have over here, on top of Christmas!

Just seeing you stand to take a picture in the snow without a gazillion layers on makes me cold. 🙂 But love your outfit, you look beautiful. Merry Christmas!
