Direct Sales Lip Gloss Review
We all seem to know a friend that sells something from a Direct Sales business. While some people can be pushy, if done right Direct Sales businesses can be an amazing blessing to moms!
I thought it would be fun to do a comparision of some name brand lip gloss from Direct Sales. It can be especially hard to order online and not know if the color will actually be the same when you apply it.
Disclaimer – the only company I’m involved with below is L’BRI Pure and Natural. I wasn’t paid to write these reviews, but I had the opportunity to work with some ladies involved in all these companies who sent me samples.
One more disclaimer – I took the pictures of the lip gloss on myself as selfies on my phone, and I didn’t have a mirror in front of me to apply any of the gloss. It’s not perfect. 😉 But it gives you an idea of the colors on someone, which I find helpful!
Arbonne
Pros – I love the container and the application stick. It has a soft brush that you use to apply the lip gloss, and it works well. The colors are true to appearance online. It’s a thicker lip gloss, and you don’t need a lot of it. This is definitely one of my top favorites.
The colors I have are Anise and Linden.
Cons – The first time I put it on, it felt sticky. However since then I haven’t noticed that. The color doesn’t last as long as I wish it would.
Price –
Avon
Pros – A large selection of colors to choose from, and the price is the lowest in all the lip glosses I tried. Easy to apply, and they are not goopy or sticky. The colors are not very bold, so if you are looking for a muted lip gloss, this might be for you.
Cons – If you care about the ingredient list, this has a mega list of what is included.
Ava Anderson (now called Pure Haven)
Pros – The biggest positive is that the color stays on well! I almost consider this to be a little more like a lip stain, instead of a gloss. I haven’t noticed it to dry out my lips, and the colors seem to apply true to picking them out online. If you are concerned about the ingredients list, this has a great list.
Cons – Not very many cons to say! It’s not as thick as some of the others, so you have to use just a smidgeon more. Besides that, I really like it.
L’BRI Pure and NaturalÂ
Pros – I feel like it’s a super moisturizing lip gloss. One tube lasts for quite awhile, and applies well. Wisteria is my favorite color. It’s a light natural looking color.
Cons – I wish there were a few more color choices.
NYR Organics
Pros – It’s made with super safe ingredients!  These colors seem to just give a little natural pop of color, they are not anything bright. If you want a skin colored lip gloss, these are some good choices. These lip glosses would be good to apply over a favorite lip stick, for some extra shine.
They felt moisturizing, and didn’t dry my lips out!
I like how each product is marked with a label, letting you know the percentage of organic products in it.
Cons – I’m not crazy about gloss in tubes like this, it always is a bit more messy applying it.

Younique
Pros – The packaging is fantastic. The lip gloss has a mirror on the side of the tube, which is the greatest idea! The colors are pretty true to ordering online. I like the application stick, and the selection of colors available are nice. They also just came out with a new lip Bonbon product that looks really fun to try!
I love that they have a 14 day Love It Guarantee. If for any reason a customer is not satisfied with their product they can return it for a full refund (less shipping) within 14 days of receiving it. That makes ordering online a little less stressful!
Cons – I felt like this lip gloss was a little drying.
I hope that helps you pick out some new lip gloss to try!
