4th Of July Modest Monday and a Link Up!

It was such a busy week, it’s hard to believe that Modest Monday is here again! But what a fun week. The 4th of July is always a huge event for our family, as we celebrated our 9th annual 4th of July celebration at my Mother-in-Laws farm. My husband and brother-in-law started the event, and it has grown larger each year! I wish I could share with you the picture of the large room full of people, but I try to respect people’s privacy in case they don’t want pictures shared online. 🙂

My children are going to Vacation Church School this week, and to say they are excited is an understatement! We start our new school year the week after Church School is over, so I’m working on getting a lot of freezer meals in the freezer to help me make that transition into a new school year. I’ll be taking pictures and sharing with you my finished meals and recipes when I’m done!

I wanted a red, white and blue combo for the 4th of July, so wearing the ruffle skirt from Deborah & Co. in the blue polka dot fabric worked out great with a red shirt! We have 16 different fabrics you can choose from for our custom skirts, so if you don’t like this fabric there is probably a different one that suits your style!

I knew I would want my hair up and out of my way for the 4th of July, so I french braided it on the sides, then did one long braid and put it up using the X-Large size Liberty bow flexi clip. Love how easy it was to do, and that it stayed up all day until super late!

My oldest daughter wore a Hello Kitty 4th of July shirt with a long jean skirt. She was so excited to finally get a Hello Kitty shirt, she has asked for them before but this was the first one I found that I liked. 🙂 Thanks to ThredUP we got it with credit and on time for the holiday!

I braided her hair and then twisted the two long braids together using an x-small flexi clip. It held all day long, and she played hard!
