Glitter Girl Dolls are a cheaper option than the popular Wellie Wisher Dolls that American Girl offers. I’m not normally one to promote a cheaper option as I really do love the quality of the American Girl Dolls, but these have excellent reviews and some ladies have said they like the quality even more than the American Girl Dolls. They are much cheaper, and are definitely on my girls Christmas list! They are the exact same size as the Wellie Wisher dolls and have some adorable extra outfits you can buy!
This Joovy Car seat has been on my daughter’s wish list for over a year now! I’ve looked at cheaper options, but with so many girls and having toys get passed down I’ve learned it’s better to get a quality item that will hold up. This toy car seat is adorable and has excellent reviews.

My nephews received this Gravitrax Marble Run set last Christmas, and my 5 and 8 year old girls have loved playing it at their house! It’s an excellent Stem type toy, and provides hours of creative, imaginative fun. You get to design and build your own marble track, you can change how you build it each time!
Are you looking for a good alternative to Barbie Dolls for your girls? Lottie Dolls are a sweet option! They are smaller than a Barbie Doll, but can stand on their own two feet and have cute accessories! They are based on the proportions of an average 9 year old, not a grown woman!
Do you have a girl who loves to read? I love encouraging our 8 year old in her reading skills as it felt like a long 2 years of her learning to read. Now she loves to grab books and read, and adores the Boxcar Children books! I saw this set of books at Costco for a cheaper price, but if you don’t shop at Costco you can find it on Amazon as well. Our local Costco didn’t have this set, I found it in South Carolina when we were on vacation.
My 5 and 8 year old can play for hours with Legos when we get them out! My mother in law stumbled across the deal of a lifetime and found a bunch of complete Lego Friend sets for just a few dollars each at a thrift store, so my girls were given a lot of sets last Christmas. I don’t always love the mess of Legos everywhere, but I love how creative the girls are when playing with them! Legos are especially good for the winter months when everyone is trapped inside because it’s cold!
For your 5-6 year old who is learning to read, I can’t recommend this Dash Into Learning book set enough! I always try to gift my children a new book set each Christmas, and this is an absolutely lovely set for the beginner reader. They are so sweet, easy to use for beginner readers, and some families use this solely for their reading program! I always combine it with All About Learning, and it make the perfect combination. Is the Gravitrax hard to use at all? I’ve had it on my radar for a while but haven’t gotten it yet since it’s so expensive. I do love that brand of “games” though so I know it’ll be good quality, I just worry about them using it!!!
I asked my children who have played with it, and they said for a 5 year old it might be a tiny bit hard, but otherwise it’s not at all hard to use!

We bought our little girl a glitter girl doll for her birthday. She wanted an American Girl doll like her big sister but she is still too young. The quality of the doll is wonderful. She loves to brush her hair and put pretty dresses on her. Definitely a good purchase.
