Modest Monday and a Link Up!
It might be hard to see, but a butterfly landed on the bush and I was looking at it in this picture. 🙂
We had a busy weekend, we went out of town on Saturday and got home late. Up early for church and had a meal afterwards at church. Then our family was in charge of a casual Sunday evening service at our church, so we came home to get that ready. Thankfully I was able to get a short nap in. I know Monday is going to be slower because we are tired and the house needs cleaned!
I like wearing this maxi dress because I can nurse in public (using a nursing cover) if I wear a cropped layering shell or a halftee with it. Yay for wearing dresses while nursing! I love skirts but I really do enjoy getting to wear dresses once in a while.
This is a “we are leaving the house right now, throw your hair up in something quick” hairstyle. 🙂 Not the greatest thing I’ve done, but it worked. It’s really hot in Missouri right now, so putting my hair up felt good. I’m using an X-Large flexi clip that was one of the flexi of the month clips.
What I Wore
Maxi Dress – JCPenny (same style as this maxi dress)
Cami – Cropped Layering Shell
Short Sleeve Denim Jacket – I found this on ThredUP (a site to purchase gently used clothing, new customers to ThredUP can receive a $10 credit).
Flexi Clip – X-Large clip from Lilla Rose.

Thanks so much for hosting! I just love that hair pin, it’s so pretty. Have a great week!
Thank you for linking up!
Very pretty outfit. How does the halfte work for nursing?
Since it comes down right below your bra, you just lift it up to nurse and this dress can be pulled aside. I’m going to do an actual blog post on it soon!
Beautiful! We are in Missouri too and I am all about throwing my hair into any sort of style that will cool me down and keep it off my neck. Thanks for hosting!
What a great dress! I’m a new blogger and a friend told me about your site. I love it! Thanks for hosting the link party.
