After missing a few Modest Monday posts I’m finally back! Evening time has been Emily’s fussy time where she wants to just sit and nurse for quite awhile, so I haven’t been able to pull it off. It’s ok, they are only little once!

I have a funny story about this outfit. I got all dressed, makeup on and hair fixed Saturday morning, which felt like a huge accomplishment with a one month old baby! Sean got home from running an errand and came home and suddenly told me that I looked ready to go to McDonalds. I looked down at my outfit and just laughed, I had a bright red shirt on with the mustard color skirt! It really did look like McDonald’s colors.

I went and changed to the green shirt, and Sean said it was a lot better, but now I was wearing John Deere colors. Ha! I gave up after that. I don’t have a lot of clothes that currently fit me for postpartum, so I just work with what I do have!

We have this polka dot skirt available at Deborah & Co. in the mustard color and also a beautiful navy and white polka dot color! We also have two solid color skirts in the exact same style. They are so comfortable, I just love them. They have elastic waists, which are nice for moms! I’m wearing a size large right now. We did a pre-order on the skirts, so there are only certain sizes left.

Speaking of pre-orders, we have a burgundy dress that we are taking pre-orders on that is great for fall and winter. It’s even a breastfeeding friendly dress! Go take a look and see if you want to place an order!

I did a side braid and then twisted the braid around a ponytail, and held it all together with a medium flexi clip.

Speaking of flexi clips, I’m going to start doing Social Street Fairs on my Facebook page for Lilla Rose! Basically it’s live shows where I can sell product and ship directly to customers, and I have exclusive items that can only be sold on these Social Street Fairs. You won’t find these products on my website! I’ll be starting my first one this week, hopefully even today. I can’t set a certain time and promise that I’ll be there becuase my schedule is so unpredictable with Emily. Maybe this afternoon? I’ll try! I think it will be fun!

  1. So glad to see your smiling face. I think it’s so helpful that you have been so open about the challenges of mothering a newborn and your acceptance of your “postpartum body” as you put it a couple of weeks ago. You have a valuable platform. In too many places, an unrealistic message of perfectionism is sent that can be so discouraging to others in similar circumstances. I think the Titus 2 mandate is so vital and you fulfill that in many ways here in your corner of the web.

    • That is so kind of you to say! I’d definitely wish I looked smaller, but I’m trying to be super honest and real and accept where I am for now.

  2. Thank you for hosting this opportunity to bring bloggers together and share their posts. I look forward to your party each week. #OverTheMoon #WWBlogHop #ThursdayFavoriteThings.
