Red Floral Maxi Skirt | themodestmomblog.comSo today I feel plump instead of pregnant. Someone came up to me yesterday and asked if I was pregnant, and said I must have gained a lot of weight if I wasn’t. Ummm..thanks! I felt like I was bursting the buttons on this blouse, but I’m just not big enough for a lot of maternity clothes yet!

Pregnant wearing a comfortable maxi skirt! | themodestmomblog.comI totally loved wearing this new skirt. I just got itย and the colors are so bright and cheerful. Plus the fabric is really stretchy and comfortable on myย plumpย pregnant tummy. ๐Ÿ™‚

Flexi clips create such an easy elegant hairstyle! I’m wearing the recently re-released Kaleidoscope Flexi Clip. It is one of my favorite clips, so I was really happy to see it return to the Lilla Rose lineup!

Up_Close_CarolineI love layering cami’s under blouses like this. They are just open enough where it wouldn’t be modest for me without a cami, especially with little ones tugging on my blouse!

If you are needing a new camisole, today is a great day to grab one! Use the code SHIPFREE to get any order placed on the Cami page shipped free in the USA! This offer is only valid at Deborah & Co. on Monday, September 29th!ย

I’m really excited to announce that I will be doing a 31 Day Series in October! A lot of bloggers choose to do 31 day series, as the Nester blog hosts an enormous link up for the month. The series will be on Building a Modest Wardrobe. The Modest Monday link up will still take place on Mondays, and then I will post the series on days Tuesday-Saturday, taking a break for Sunday. ๐Ÿ™‚ It should be a lot of fun!

  1. Your outfit today is so cute! Ha ha, being in Singapore, people ask me that (about gaining weight, except they say “fat”!) all the time–and I’m not even pregnant!
Today I’m sharing a video of me talking about what we should be addicted to, and how we can be–as well as a low-knead wholemeal bread recipe.
Have a wonderful day, and thanks for hosting! <3

  2. I had someone ask me that and I wasn’t! I was wearing a jumper…that was my consolation to myself. ha! I think you look beautiful and this has to be one of my favorite outfits yet. I love bright colors and the skirt is delightful.

  3. What a tacky thing for someone to say! After our first child was born, I was back to work and ran into a client I had not seen in over a year. She looked at me and said something along the lines of, wow, are you still pregnant! It was so disheartening. It’s unfortunate so many people lack basic social skills. ๐Ÿ™ You look wonderful!

  4. First of all, pay no mind to tactless comments! I remember crying when I was pregnant with my daughter and a gentleman told me he was certain I had to be having twins because my tummy was so big. Ouch! By the way, love your outfit. And the trees in the background are lovely with their beautiful fall colors. Love this time of year! Looking forward to the modesty series coming up ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. I am SO excited about your free shipping deal for the cami!! I’ve been waiting to order b/c I wasn’t sure what all I wanted, but just found out we’re expecting again so a halftee it is!
    Also, you look lovely!

  6. You look great!
I wanted to ask you about the Lilla Rose pins….my hair is SUPER FINE and thin.
(Wouldn’t you know I would love to be thin with fat hair, but it’s more like the other way around!)
Anyway, do you think that would stay in my hair? ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. I saw your picture before reading the post and thought you looked so beautiful. I was thinking you looked like you were feeling better and I was glad to see it. You look wonderful and are so blessed. I’m glad your pregnancy is progressing well. I recently found out my sister is expecting around the same time as you, so I’m extra excited to see all the updates since she’s states away as well, but doesn’t blog. ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. You look amazingly beautiful! I don’t think you look ‘plump’ at all ๐Ÿ™‚ Just a tiny belly with a growing life inside. So glad you are on the mend & looking forward to the seeing the future updates (wondering myself if it’s boy or girl. I don’t know if you find out, but I just cannot wait each time, lol..)

  9. Really cute outfit! Much more feminine and elegant than frumpy jean skirts and whatnot. No offense of course, you seem like a lovely person. And I saw your post, “Can you wear jeans modestly?” post after you shut down the comments, but I wanted to tell you that that was an adorable outfit, and again seemed more feminine than a jean skirt, but that is just preference. Congratulations on your pregnancy btw!

  10. I don’t usually comment but I had to tell you how gorgeous you look! What inspiration for the beauty of motherhood! Thank you so much for sharing.

Also, thank you for balancing honesty and healthy boundaries in you blog. I am really blessed by the homeschooling, fashion, and spiritual growth topics you share.

And I be continuing to pray for you and this little blessing.
