I thought I would share pictures of my two oldest girls for Modest Monday this week, as I just loved the outfits they wore to church!

March brings birthday gifts, and Carrianna just turned 9 (same day as my birthday!). She received a lot of new clothes for her birthday, which is always such a blessing! Some of the clothes we got her were from Target, and I’m just going to put this out here to avoid comments. Everyone handles cultural issues differently. Don’t leave rude comments just because someone shops at a store that your family has chosen not to shop at. I’ve gone through seasons of boycotting Target and other stores, and seasons where I do shop there.

These girls have days where they are the best of friends, and play together so nicely. Other days they need to be separated and spend time apart, but I suppose that is a normal part of growing up with lots of sisters. ๐Ÿ™‚

My girls love fashion, and thankfully seem to be embracing modesty so far in their young lives. I hope above all things that they always keep the Lord in their hearts, and always are willing to listen to the counsel of their parents and others around them!

The smocked maxi dress is a little long on her, but I know she will keep growing this summer so I think it’s going to be ok. She turned 9, and it’s a 10/12. Maybe she can even use it next spring as well!

We gave her these new shoes for her birthday, and I think they are so cute! She is wearing LulaRoe leggings under her dress since it’s been a little chilly here.

What Carrianna Wore

Dress – Target

White Cardigan – Target

Shoes – Crazy 8

Leggings – LulaRoe

I normally don’t like the Hi-Low style dresses at all. I think you can find modest ones, it’s just personal preference for me. But this dress is so adorable, my sister and I both fell in love with it and my sister was so sweet and bought it for Olivia! My clothing budget was totally gone after buying clothes for Carrianna’s birthday this month!

She wore a white shirt under it to church today but as it gets warmer she will use a short sleeve Halftee.

This dress is long on her as well, but since Spring is just starting I’m not terribly worried. They both love long dresses and have learned to lift their long skirts up when they walk up stairs. ๐Ÿ™‚

What Olivia Wore

Dress – Targetย

Sweater – Marshals? Kid’s Closet Sale? Not totally sure!

Shoes – Kid’s Closet Consignment Sale

I hope you enjoyed a look at how easy it is to dress girls in a modest, sweet and feminine way! If you start them out when they are young it really does make it easier. We are not 100% skirts and dresses with our girls. We do let them wear jeans to play in sometimes, Carrianna just ripped her favorite Gymboree skirt playing outside in it, which made us both sad! :/ Every family just needs to decide your standards and continue to talk to your daughters about those standards, and share more details as your daughters get older.

I thought it would be a nice change to show you a more casual, weekday outfit instead of a Sunday outfit this week! Saturday we had a birthday party for my oldest and youngest daughter and I. It was a lot of fun! My Dad and Step-mom came in town and we did a spring egg hunt, instead of a Easter egg hunt. ๐Ÿ™‚ Sophia was hysterical, she would not let go of her little basket and eggs the rest of the day!

When I walked in the door my dad instantly commented on my outfit, which I thought was funny. He has seen me in all different phases of life, from homemade jumpers only, to a headcovering and then slowly start to dress in a more modern, yet modest way still. The leggings were something new on me. I think he liked the outfit, it was just another new look. Ha! I thought it was so funny he even noticed!

Speaking of the leggings, yes they are LulaRoe leggings. I love the pretty rose pattern! If you haven’t tried a pair of LulaRoe leggings yet, I’d love for you to leave me a comment and tell me why! It took me forever to try a pair and once I did, I wondered why I waited so long! They really are as soft as butter.

I recently ordered some TOMS shoes when they were on sale at Zulily. When I first got them in the mail I wasn’t sure how comfortable I thought they were. Now that I’ve worn them for a few weeks I think they are incredibly comfortable! My only complaint is that the soles are slippery at times, which I really don’t like.

Wearing my favorite bobby pins from Lilla Rose!

What I Wore

Skirt – Knee Length Denim Stretch Skirt from Deborah & Co.

Shirt – Costco

Leggings – LulaRoe (Join my FB group here!)

Shoes – TOMS from Zulilyย

It was a cold and dreary day on Sunday, and after a week of super nice weather it turned cold and we had snow on Saturday! I know it shouldn’t be quite so warm here in Missouri yet, I don’t want the bugs coming out super early, but it was so nice to have warm days with sunshine.

Sean and I put on a dinner at our church Saturday night for the older youth and Sean gave a message to them after dinner. He has been Pastor for the past three years but someone else will be taking over next month. In our church being the Pastor is not a paid position and you are voted in each year. We are ready for the change, even though he has been very willing to do it. This was the last big thing he wanted to do, and I really wanted to support him and make the meal for the older youth. So our Saturday was spent buying groceries and cooking the dinner. I think it turned out nice, and it was a lot of fun!

I woke up Sunday morning exhausted (daylight savings time change did not help!) so I wasn’t in the mood to put together an outfit. This dress was nice to grab, along with a halftee tank under it and a sweater.

This dress is really long on me, so I wore these ankle boots that had a heel. It helped me not trip on the dress climbing the stairs at church and chasing after Sophia! I found the ankle boots on Zulily and really wish I had went up half a size in them. I only wear them to church or out on a date, never around the house. I’m on a search to find more comfortable dress up shoes, but my shoe budget is pretty limited. I’ve been wearing adorable $6 pair of polka dot chambray flats from Walmart quite a bit!

I had zero time to wash my hair before church, so I just used a Lilla Rose hairband and pulled it back with a medium Flexi Clip that matched. Not the best hair day ever, but not every day has to be the best. ๐Ÿ™‚

What I Wore

Dress – Pink Blush

Cami – Halftee Tank

Boots – Zulily (Naturalizer brand)

Headband and Flexi Clip – Lilla Rose

Happy Monday! I’m one of those people who don’t always dread Mondays, instead I’m filled with hope that the week will go just how I dream it will. I normally always end the week thinking of all the things I wish we could do better, but Monday gives that fresh new start.

I’m having a professional organizer come over to my house today, which should be interesting! My Mother in law won a drawing at a women’s retreat that we were at together, and graciously gave the prize to me. I’m really hoping she can help give me some ideas!

I received my latest Stitch Fix box in the mail this past week and this lovely cardigan was included in the box! I’ll be sharing a full post on my box this week, but I wanted to wear this cardigan to church so you get a sneak peak of what was included!

Polka dots+cheerful pink=happy outfit. ๐Ÿ™‚ย

I’ve been looking for a short sleeve shirt for awhile and I just found one at Costco for $10! When I can find clothes at Costco, I love the affordable prices!

Here is a crazy “I haven’t washed my hair in 2 days and I need a last minute hairstyle for church” look. I really don’t know if it actually looked good, but I used some dry shampoo, twisted it, used an XL flexi clip to hold it up and hopped in the van. ๐Ÿ™‚

What I Wore

Skirt – Marshalls

Shirt – Costco

Cardigan – Stitch Fix Box

Earrings – Meadowland Designs

Flexi Clip – XL Clip from Lilla Rose

Nude Flats – Zulily
