Taking Care of the Widows – A giveaway and a chance to bless a widow!

Aunt Mae's

Have you read about all the harmful ingredients in store-bought soap yet the thought of making your own is too intimidating? Would you like to wash with a gentle lather safe enough for a baby’s skin? Then let me introduce you to Mae’s Handcrafted Natural Soaps.

These natural soaps made with real tallow will delight your senses! Mae lovingly makes all her soaps in small batches to ensure the highest quality. She uses the best of the best ingredients: real tallow is gentle on your skin while at the same time is used for the bar’s hardness, which means it doesn’t get mushy in the shower. Olive oil is added for further gentleness along with a touch of coconut oil for a fluffy lather.

Cranberry-Fig-resized-300x199Only high quality soap scents or essential oils are used, and even then they are added with a light hand. Mae’s bars give you an absolutely delicious scent you can enjoy in the shower, without becoming obtrusive during the day. Even her coloring agents are of a natural origin. These unique combinations make long-lasting, gentle bars that your whole family will love.

Our family had the chance to try one of Mae’s bars of soaps. I was expecting it to be just like other bars of natural soaps I’ve tried but I was very impressed with this bar! It lathers up nicely, plus it lasted a very long time instead of melting away in the water!

You Can Win Natural Handcrafted Soap!

Would you like to win some of Mae’s Natural Handcrafted Soap for yourself? Well, here’s your chance! Enter below and be one of SIX winners for a $25 credit that you can use to chose your favorite soaps from Mae’s delicious selections.

Aunt MaeThis review and giveaway is on behalf of a dear friend and sister in Christ who unexpectedly lost her beloved husband in February of this year. He left Mae and a young son behind, reeling from their loss.

Mae’s husband had been out of work for a year, living off of a small military pension. The family, understandably, had to cut back on expenses – one of which was their life insurance policies. His sudden death now leaves Mae and their son with very little income (less than a couple hundred dollars a month). Because of different personal situations, she is currently ineligible for benefits like Social Security. Mae homeschools their son, and thanks to The Home School Foundation, she will receive a grant to cover homeschooling supplies and curriculum. She is asking the Lord to provide for her son and herself through her small businesses, one of which is making soaps and other body products.

As you can see, the situation is dire for this sweet widow and her son, but we know that God is able to do more than we could ever think, or ask (Eph. 3:20), and we hope that you will consider joining up with us to help our dear friend by supporting her business.

We’re asking you, dear readers, to seriously consider the call of James 1:27—to care for widows and orphans and consider Mae’s Handcrafted Natural Soaps for your next soap purchase.

Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. James 1: 27

Anyone who knows Mae is touched by her. She is an incredibly godly woman, who acts as a Titus 2 mentor to those who know her. She is loved so dearly and we want to do all we can to support her during this incredibly difficult time! Please pass this on by sharing this giveaway on Facebook and Twitter.

Giveaway #1: Cowgirl Dirt Makeup

Even though I’m not a western cowgirl I love Cowgirl Dirt Makeup. The company truly sticks to it’s word when it promises pure cosmetics. The prices are great for natural makeup that is made with organic oils. I like how the makeup goes on, and that it doesn’t feel sticky or heavy.

Cowgirl Dirt sent me the Wild West Blush and the Bodacious Botanical Lip Gloss to try. Once again I’m not disappointed and I love both of the products.

The Wild West Blush comes in 8 different shades so you are sure to find a color that will work. I tried the Ponderosa color and I like it for a spring look. It blended in with my Southern Belle Cream Foundation nicely.

Cowgirl Dirt

I tried Udderly Mauve and Barn lip gloss and I like both colors. It goes on your lips easily and leaves a glossy feel which I like. :)

Cowgirl Dirt is giving away a Blush and Lipgloss Set to one winner! The winner can pick the colors of their choice. Enter below using Rafflecopter.

Bulk Herb Store Beautiful Hair Review and Giveaway

Bulk Herb Store Giveaway

Whenever possible I like to use natural products. I’ve tried various shampoos, conditioners, soaps, etc. that are labeled natural, and I have to admit that some have been a total waste of money. Whenever I try something from The Bulk Herb Store though I’m thrilled to discover yet another great product that I can recommend to people!

The Beautiful Hair Treatment -Dark is a natural blend of herbs that will give nourishment to your hair. It’s a combination of nettle, horsetail, shavegrass, oatstraw and henna. These herbs combined will reach the broken shafts of your hair, bringing health to your roots. The henna will bring out all the natural highlights that your hair has. If you want lighter highlights you add lemon to the mix, and if you want darker you add apple cider vinegar.

When I tried this the first time I totally messed it up. I mixed everything up all together and applied it to my hair – cold. You are supposed to cook this on the stove for a few minutes and then apply it warm to your hair, and wrap your hair in a warm towel for 45 minutes! Let’s just say that the second time I tried it the correct way, I received the results I was hoping for!

Beautiful Hair Treatment

This is a picture of my hair a few days after applying the treatment. My family could notice more of a shine to it, and it overall looked healthy.

I will warn you – this treatment will make your hair smell! Don’t do this right before going out somewhere. :) The first night after applying it you are only supposed to rinse it out of your hair and wait 24 hours before shampooing your hair. When I went to bed that night my husband (sweetly) told me that I smelled like a cow. :) Be prepared for a few comments from your children and husband! I think it was worth it though, and plan on doing it again. I used the apple cider vinegar in my mix and want to try the lemon next time.

Shoshanna has a happy, contagious spirit and I always love watching her videos. Here she shows step by step how to do this process in the video below:

I also tried the Bentonite Clay Facial, and I loved it! This blend of Bentonite Clay, Lavender, and chamomile powder will draw out toxins from your skin, wash away dead skin cells and boost circulation which will help tighten your face! It’s super easy to make this blend, just mix those three ingredients, put a little bit of water in with it and apply it to your face. Wait a few minutes and you will feel your face start to get stiff, from the clay drying on your face. After about 10 minutes you can wash it off, and your skin will feel so clean and revived afterwards!

The Bulk Herb Store would like to giveaway all of these products to one of you! Enter below to win the Beautiful Hair Treatment and the Bentonite Clay Facial below using the rafflecopter form.

Cowgirl Dirt Review and Giveaway

Cowgirl Dirt Makeup

I discovered Cowgirl Dirt a few months ago, and I’ve been so happy that I did! Slowly a lot of my makeup is transitioning over to this company. While I am so not a cowgirl (my experience on horses have been mostly falling off, or getting bucked off as a child!), don’t let the name fool you, a girl in lace and curls can wear this stuff as well!!

What I like the most about this company is that they provide truly natural, organic makeup at affordable prices. Many companies label things natural but then you read the label and realize it is far from natural. This company is true to their word! I love that I can read the labels on many of the products and actually recognize most of the ingredients! Organic oils, organic beeswax, zinc oxide, natural clays, Aloe Vera, and Mica are some of the ingredients that I know.

So far I have tried the creme foundation, mineral powder foundation, the Concealer, Eye Shadow, Mascara, Yeehaw lip tints, and Bodacious Botanical lip gloss. Some of these products I was sent to review, some I have purchased myself, either the full size version or the sample.

CowgirlDirt Sample

Out of all those products my favorite so far has been the eye shadow, mascara, and the lip tints and lip gloss. Love, love, love these products! The eye shadow has just the right amount of natural sparkle that I was looking for. I have the huckleberry color and it’s the perfect shade for me.

I’m not a huge fan of mascara as a lot of the ones I’ve tried have felt really heavy on me. The mascara from Cowgirl Dirt feels lighter and does not clump easily. I’ve been thrilled with it! It has also been easier to take off then other brands I’ve tried.

I have the War Admiral Lip Tint, and I reach for it instead of actual lip stick most of the time. It’s moisturizing my lips while providing color at the same time! I’ve only ordered a sample of the lip gloss, but it felt wonderfully silky smooth and is now on my wish list. :)

Cowgirl Dirt Makeup

I like the powder foundation the best, and the concealer worked really well. I have a really hard time matching the perfect foundation color to my face, and I just don’t think I have it right even after a few samples. I loved how the creme foundation felt on my face, I just don’t have the right color matched to my face.

If you are looking for some new natural makeup, I strongly suggest looking into Cowgirl Dirt’s makeup!

Now for the exciting news!

One reader will win a $25.00 gift certificate to Cowgirl Dirt! To enter, use the rafflecopter form below.
