Modest Monday and a Link Up!

I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving!

It came, it went, and now it’s time for Christmas. That’s how I feel. Ha! Seriously, it was lovely, but Christmas is my favorite holiday so I’m pretty excited to decorate the house (this week!) and do a lot of fun family stuff. We sat down tonight and wrote out a list of activities to do in December. I’m taking my 3 oldest girls to the Nutcracker this year for the very first time, so we are all excited about that!

Pencil Skirt and checked shirt from J.C.Crew.

Have you ever looked at something online over and over again, and years later finally decided to buy it? That’s the story with this outfit. Not the whole outfit, just the gingham shirt! I had seen different bloggers wearing this shirt from J.Crew and loved how it looked, and finally grabbed it when it was half off. I was nervous about this style because I don’t wear very many button up shirts. I decided to wear the lace shirt under it and then tie the shirt and loved how it turned out! You can get it half off during the Cyber Monday sale!

The shirt is light weight and very comfortable, so I see it being a shirt I could wear in the fall, winter, and spring!

We spent the day Sunday with family who lives on a 100 acre farm. I always love getting out of the city and going there! Even though we just bought a house that we love, we all dream of moving to the country one day! Who knows if it will happen…for now I’m just enjoying the house we have!

Let’s talk about gray hair for a minute. Whenever I see a picture of my hair I keep thinking I see gray strands! It’s so crazy because I’ve asked Sean to look at my hair and he doesn’t see any gray! What do you think? I’ll be 35 in March…I’m not ready for any gray!

I am wearing a favorite flexi clip, the Hues of Blue in an XS. I tried knotting it together and then putting the clip in, but at this point the knot was slipping out (thought the flexi clip was holding strong!).

Don’t forget!!!!! Today is the very last day you can save 10%-60% off at Lilla Rose! You don’t want to miss out on getting the hair accessories on your wish list, and these make fantastic stocking stuffers! Lots of ladies have been ordering, because the deals are so amazing. You seriously can get a Flexi Clip for a few dollars!

Here are some of the new releases available on the website! I love that Bow Flexi clip for December, I’m hoping my clip arrives in the mail today!

  2. So glad to hear you had an amazing Thanksgiving. We did, too. 33 family members in our little home so it was a little crazy, but wonderful crazy! BTW, I don’t see any gray. Thanks for hosting and have fun decorating this week.

  3. Thank you for hosting this opportunity to bring bloggers together and share their posts. I look forward to your party each week.

  4. I love that outfit! It’s one that I would definitely wear! Also, I see no grays 🙂 Thanks for the great link up !

  5. Hi Caroline, I know what you mean about the gray hair. But I would like to point out that I think your feelings are based on societal pressures. Believe God’s word: gray hair is a crown of glory. I say wear it proudly 🙂 I’m 38 and have plenty 🙂

  6. I don’t see any gray in the pictures…I am 42 and just starting to get some silver hairs! They really are not noticeable to anyone yet, but I am like, oh noooo…what now? Would you dye your grays either with color or try something natural like very strong coffee or tea? I am wanting to experiment with that sometime soon!

I don’t see any gray in your hair, I went gray early and had so much that I chose to cover mine, I am so much happier
