Modest Monday and a Link Up!

Forgive me for getting this up late this week! It’s been such a busy weekend! We have been at the Teach Them Diligently Conference in Nashville which ended Saturday evening. Sean and I had booths right next to each other, which was great! He was there with Character Badges, and spoke on Thursday evening. I had a booth for Deborah & Co. there and it was so much fun to meet blog readers there! I left exhausted but so encouraged.

We rented a house close to the convention center through Airbnb, so I crashed on Sunday and didn’t get get dressed for the day until noon! That is unusual for me. I woke up with a lot of my old adrenal fatigue symptoms and knew the day was going to be rough. We finally left the house and wanted to explore some local parks and take a walk. I barely made it on the walk and we turned around early and left. I felt so bad! It’s not often that I have days like that anymore, but when it does happen it’s a painful reminder of what my life used to be like when my boys were little. So thankful that my energy levels are better now!

I just discovered this pretty floral shirt on Amazon, of all places! The great news is that it was super affordable! I did size up to a large as suggested and that was a good decision. The lace peeking through under it is from our Lace Trimmed Tank, and we just restocked the sizes and have quite a few back in stock!

I used an XS Flexi clip to pull back my hair. I had curled it the previous two days with my hot roller set, but decided to skip that step on Sunday! I did get my makeup put on, of course the weekend I meet lots of new people my face decides to be broken out. Ha! It always seems to happen that way (maybe the stress and lack of sleep from getting ready to come?) and of course it keeps me humble. πŸ˜‰ I’m using Younique foundation right now and it covers up really well. The pictures never make it look bad, so I’m really not making this up. πŸ™‚

And in other news, wouldn’t you know that a house popped up for sale while we were out of town that we were both actually interested in. Of course it already sold! Oh well. I know God has a house for us out there, and in HIS timing it will happen!

  1. It is so easy to overdo and stress our adrenals again…and sometimes it seems we need that “heads up” to be more careful. I have been seeing that again also. sigh. Thank you for the link up party. πŸ™‚

  2. Thanks for the fun!

  3. Thanks for hosting, Caroline.

  4. Like the shirt. I wonder why the pictures on amazon show different sleeve lengths and necklines?
