Modest Monday and a Link Up!

Sometimes outfits just come together without any thought, and other times you have to think through what you want the final look to be. This outfit took a little bit of thought. I’ve really missed wearing belts. Nursing moms and belts are not normally best friends. However I decided to just try it and managed to make it through the day ok! I’ll definitely try some other outfits using this belt.

Chambray skirt with a striped black and white long sleeve top made a good outfit for fall! Complete with Keds shoes!

Olivia had earned a bike ride as a reward using the Character Badges program. Sean had been promising to take her for awhile, but life gets crazy busy so we decided to do it while our older children were at orchestra practice on Saturday morning.

I was originally going to wear my brown boots with this outfit but decided to come along and go for a walk, so I wore my new Keds shoes that I found on ThredUP. I had just tried on these shoes at Kohls a few months ago, but I didn’t want to spend $50 on them. Before I knew it, these popped up for sale in my size on ThredUP and I grabbed them! I think they were $15. Very comfortable and they look better with skirts than regular tennis shoes!

These Keds are so comfortable and look great with a long skirt!

I love this time of year. The weather is beautiful, the trees are all turning different colors, hot chocolate and apple cider is a yummy treat.

A striped sweater and fall weather makes a lovely combination!

I used an X-Small Hues of Blue flexi clip to pull my hair back. This is one of my favorite clips!

The Hues of Blue is a beautiful flexi clip! This X-Small clip works for almost any hair type!

Guess what? Lilla Rose is totally spoiling us with releasing some new flexi clips today, and adding a sale on them!

  1. I really like denim skirt … I love ones that flare like that! But it looks like the linkup isn’t working? 🙁

  2. love your outfit!!!

  3. Thank you for the link up! I love those keds. They look so comfy. I brought a favorite family meal (115-117). I hope you enjoy it!

  4. Thanks for the encouragement with feminine, modest clothing. I have been a Christian a long time and have never dressed immodest, but never really thought about dressing as a true lady. It really can reflect to others what is in your heart!

  5. Thanks for sharing. Really like this outfit! I wanted to say thank you for continuing this website and also your clothing line because earlier this year I switched off of pants and you really helped me to figure out my modesty standards based on the bible. 🙂 Thank you a ton! PS. You have a lovely daughter.
