Modest Monday and a Link Up!

What a busy week! Between a garage sale I had with my sister, and selling at a used homeschool book sale on Saturday I could barely think straight!
Pink summer cardigan and striped skirt

I went shopping at Kohls to get Sean some new shirts for Father’s Day. While I was there I found this striped maxi skirt and knew it was just what I had been looking for. Thankful for a sale and Kohls Cash. 🙂

I wore the new summer cardigan that is for sale at Deborah & Co. and really liked it. Very soft and comfortable and it wasn’t hot!

We took pictures at Sean’s grandpa’s house and it’s always windy there!

I’ve been thinking about cutting my hair to my shoulder. Sean told me I can do what I want but that he loves it long. So…I’m going to leave it long for now. 🙂 I slept in late Sunday morning and didn’t have much time to get ready for church, so I just wore it down.

That’s it for this week! I’m looking forward to seeing all the links left. I don’t always comment but I try to visit many of the blogs that link up.

What I Wore

Skirt – Striped maxi from Kohls

Cardigan – Short Sleeve Crewneck Cardigan from Deborah & Co.

Tank – Similiar to this layering tee

Necklace and Earrings – Mialisia

Makeup – L’BRI and Smashbox

  5. I cannot believe you just had a baby!!! You look terrific! Are you sleeping well? I hope so.

If you did decide to cut your hair, I wouldn’t recommend starting by cutting it all the way to shoulder length. That’s a pretty huge change to make all at once. I’d suggest going for 3 or 4 inches below the shoulders first if you want to try it shorter. It’s amazing how much longer it looks when you get it just a few inches past the shoulder. I think it looks great at its current length though.

  7. Thanks for hosting, Caroline! I hope y’all had a great weekend with family and some time to rest. 🙂

  8. Sean is right, your hair is beautiful long! 🙂

Love the skirt. Never seen any skirts like this at our Kohl’s. Your hair looks very good in the pics. You can do so much more with long hair. You can put it up, down, braided, or just hang down.

  10. I just had my husband trim my hair and he trimmed a little more then I would have liked, but thankfully it will grow back. Long hair is just so much more versatile! Yours is beautiful. Thank you for hosting, and have a wonderful week!

  11. I have that same maxi from Kohls and I love it ! I found a similar one at Target for my daughter so we can match.

  12. that wind blown picture of you is the most beautiful one you have posted yet! That thick hair must be hot, but please don’t chop much off!

  13. Homeschool book sales and Kohls cash sounds like a great weekend! Thanks for hosting 🙂

  16. Wow! A blog about being a Godly modest woman. Thank you! I am so proud of you having the courage to stand for what you believe in! I have raised three children, and know first hand how difficult it is to raise children to live with integrity and spiritual fortitude. So, again thank you! And love the stripe skirt!!

  17. You have such beautiful hair! You could easily cut some of the length though and still have long hair. I always think about cutting my hair this time of year. It feels so heavy and hot at times.

  18. Jacqueline says:

Nice outfit! I have the same skirt and it’s so comfy and versatile. Just be careful washing it. A friend of mine bought the same skirt shortly before I did, and the hemline became so uneven after washing it that it was no longer wearable. Kohls did take it back, but just to be sure I hand wash mine, since I don’t want to have to take it back.

  19. You look fabulous! I’m so thankful to have found your blog. So many people in today’s society don’t understand that we’re not repressed, we’re modest because we want to honor God, our husbands and ourselves! Definitely following!

  20. Thank you for hosting!

I’ve shared two posts today, one being my pregnancy update (week 26!) in which I discuss my experiences adjusting to my growing body in a foreign culture – and the other, “The One Person You Need to Marry.”

You look amazing! I can’t believe you just had a baby! Beautiful. 🙂

  21. Your hair is beautiful, and so are you! Sincerely I say that. God has surely blessed you, and may you always use it for His glory!! Thank you for sharing the outfits, they are so cute and pretty!
